Grips well, is sharp and good quality value, quickly locks into place and also functions well for removing hem lines.

As well as loosening staples you can pull them out - I must admit for the price I was dubious, but it is worth it to stop getting sore fingers and using a tissue to try and prise them out !

A cheap, cheerful, comfortable and easy to use staple remover with a rather nifty locking feature. I know some reviewers have had problems with the locking mechanism engaging whilst in use, but personally I haven't found that to be a problem. The slide which operates it appears to be plastic so I imagine, if this ever did become a problem, it would be easy enough to disable. I have used it occasionally for its intended purpose, but mine is mostly used for separating split rings while putting jewellery and keyrings together. It does a great job and at the price I paid (half the price of the next cheapest) with Prime delivery it would be difficult to find fault!

Yup, this does exactly what you need it to - pulls out staples. Sometimes easily, sometimes crookedly, sometimes with a disproportionate amount of effort required, depending on your actual staple. It’s cheaper than chips and as I used my old one for years and years, till I broke it trying to pull carpet staples out of a wooden floor (don’t, they’re long and tough and the wood doesn’t give them up easily) I can vouch for the fact that it’ll be 63p or whatever it was, well spent. I hope I don’t need another one for the next ten years. Every home should have one!

I didnt even know you could get these but Im glad I found it, they are brilliant, no more messing about trying to remove staples by hand, its only a little thing but its quite sturdy and I imagine it;ll last for ages.

Paid £0.68 on Prime day, unbelieveable value for money!Working from home has posed many challenges and one involves a lack of stationary. When I was browsing through the plethora of absolute bargans on Prime day, this came up and I couldn't believe my luck.The design is like no other I have seen before, with a lovely appearance, solid weightiness and a lock feature to keep it closed when not being used.Picking it up, it is noticeably heavier than any other I have handled before. The plastic is rounded making it much more comfortable to use for a long time, with a slight texture for added grip.Others have commented on how the shape stops it from being practical to use at all. In my experience, I found it to be the opposite, by supporting it with my thumb, then gripping with my index finger and middle finger sideways on rather than holding it between my thumb and index finger only like tweezers.Also, others commented that they had problems with the locking mechanism engaging during use. I did not experience this at all, so it could be that the design has been tweaked slightly. I even used them upside down against gravity and the lock did not engage once. Everything about their design meant they were easy to use.The blades are quite sharp and appear to be well formed, without any metal being out of place.The only slight letdown is that the metal on one side had very small rust marks. That makes me wonder how and why that happened and is it going to be a problem in the future? If it's a one off, there is nothing to fault. In my case, I'm going to give it three out of five to err on the side of caution.
