I normally shave with a traditional safety razor because it gives a great shave with a smooth finish. However when you're out travelling or on holiday etc, I normally take a disposable to save on taking all the shaving kit I would normally use. Having tried numerous other brands like Wilkinson Sword, Gillette etc for a quick and easy disposable solution, the BIC Flex 3 is the best of the bunch and gives a shave close to what a safety razor will do. Hard to find any fault other than it's plastic and probably isn't great for the environment, but if you're only using it as a back up when you're out and about it will last ages and minimise the waste. If you use it every day or more regularly, it will out perform the other brands as noted (for me anyway) but the longevity of the blade is somewaht reduced. Forget 4 or 5 blade razors - you don't need them for an effective shave.

These are pretty cheap razors so I didn’t expect too much and because of this I can’t be too critical. They are comfortable and very sharp so cut well for the first few times. After that they will duel very quickly and don’t last as long as other well known brands. Reasonable price but reflected by the longevity of the blades. Probably wouldn’t buy again and would opt to pay a little more for a better brand.

Excellent razor! So much better than the throw-away-after-one-use type. I'm still using the first Flex 3 Bic to see how long it lasts. So far I've had three shaves with the same one. And for each shave I only had to go over my face once unlike the disposable type where I had to repeat each stroke several times to remove my beard/moustache and all the other facial hairs in between. The razor handle is much better too and comfortable to hold.
