This was the only mini Wah pedal I found that can run off a battery, making it perfectly portable without having to be part of a powered pedalboard. Exactly what I was looking for partnered with my Spark Mini practice amp. I can take it to practices and on holiday without a full pedalboard or multieffects unit.The battery is accessed by unscrewing the whole bottom plate and that also gives you access to a switch for three different voicings. The default High setting gives it a bright modern tone but I set the switch to the middle Vintage position and this was exactly the same tone as my full-sized Cry Baby I bought in the 1970s. Some people might find it a faff to unscrew the baseplate to change the battery or the voices, but I keeps the pedal small and sturdy.For a stand-alone pedal it's brilliant!

Very sturdy, mini tank-like. Great sound. Slight quibble, though only slight, is the voicing switch is inside the pedal, you have to remove the backplate to adjust it.

Firstly the only complaint I would have is the mini is more expensive than the full size pedal..but that gripe does not last long when you take it out of the box and plug it in. I have had mine for three hours. The build quality is the same as the full size crybaby. Its fits in with standard size foot pedals perfectly.There is a rubber composite back plate so no slipping.You get three voicing's I will only ever use the Hi but it's a useful addition.It actually sounds better than its full size brother and because of its size more easily controllable and comfortable. This is how a crybaby should have been. You can pay less for a plastic clone but you will get much less of a pedal. You will find my original crybaby on ebay!

This pedal is truly awesome. The build quality is just as good as the full size crybaby. Really solid unit, perfect weight. The size doesn't affect the function of the pedal either. Dunlop left the feet off the bottom of this pedal due to the smaller surface area and the result is a really solid stable contact with the floor. True bypass means no loss in signal when the pedal is off. The internal voice switch has 3 positions L,M,H. low is a really deep bellowing wah, medium is the vintage setting and high is the default original crybaby. Each setting really has its own qualities to it. It really adds so much more into this pedal. I really love this pedal, the only reason it doesn't get the full 5 stars is because the voice switch is under the bottom plate held on with 4 screws and personally I think it would have been better on the outside. Just another point because it doesn't actually say in the description but this doesn't come with a power adapter. It will run off a 9v battery, which again can be installed under the bottom plate. Alternatively you can use any 9v pedal plug to run it. They cost about £5-10 which obviously works out more cost effective in the long run.

Per una pedaliera minimal
Sarebbe bello poter suonare tutto con chitarra e amplificatore come quelli che hanno i suoni nelle dita e non hanno bisogno di pedali, ma non è possibile. Puoi però lasciare un po' di palco anche alla tua band e non occuparlo con la tua pedaliera che manco Frusciante si porta dietro (e lui c'ha i roadies....).Quindi se cerchi un wha che stia comodamente in una pedaliera minimale, ecco quello che fa per te. Piccolo, robusto come suo fratello maggiore, con lo stesso suono. Si perché il Cry baby ha quel suono li, punto. Poi ci sono tutte le versioni e declinazioni, io ho anche quella di Jimi Hendrix ma il suono è più o meno lo stesso, ma alla fine se lo usi in due pezzi, questo va benissimo, ha quel suono li, nessun led quindi devi controllare con il suono se è attivo o spento. Svitando il coperchio interno, trovi un comando per modificare qualche paramtero.È true bypass, mi ricordo invece che sul mio vecchio cry baby dovetti fare una modifica, quando ci fu la grande febbre del true baypass.Molto positivo il fondo del pedale, si può attaccare il velcro dato che tutto il fondo è gommoso antiscivolo, sul cry baby grande invece i piedini incorporano la vite per aprire il fondo e inserire la pila 9 v, se vuoi togliere i piedini per metterlo su una pedaliera board devi considerare di mettere delle rondelle al loro posto in modo che il fondo si chiuda bene. Qui no, ci schiaffi il velcro ed è a posto.Riguardo al vano batteria, ok se vuoi mettere e sostituire la 9v devi avere un cacciavite. Che problema c'è? Non dite che non vi portate dietro il mondo quando andate a suonare. E poi questo è fatto per stare su una Pedalboard e Pedalboard = alimentatore e quindi ciao 9v.Io l'ho messo su una pedaltrain nano, perfetto prima di un fuzz o di un Tube screamer.Il suono è quello li, preciso, escursione giusta, graduale. Si attiva senza sforzo, tenetelo attaccato a metà per un suono money for nothing. È piccolo, ma alla fine non è così scomodo. Ovvio, non indossate i texani per suonare che poi vi si incastra il tacco, non suonate con le infradito perché fa schifo.
Compact et efficace
Solide, versatile avec le commutateur mais j' aurais apprécié qu' il soit accessible de l' extérieur. Je suis tout de même satisfait de cet achat.

Perfect for a pedalboard
I don't use much Wah Wah but when I do this was the perfect addition to my pedalboard. It's small, lightweight, and sounds fabulous. The fact that you can open the cover and with a switch, select from three different wah effects is a real plus.
