I have a rescue dog who recently moved with me from Portugal to the UK. About a year ago he started snorting a lot and coughing and the vet there checked him over and always said it was an allergy - until a week before we moved to the UK, when she said she thought it was a throat issue and he should have a laryngoscopy at a cost of 400 euros, but no one was available until after we moved. Grrr.It got worse once we moved here, so I took him to a vet here in the UK, who gave him some antibiotics and said the next step would be laryngoscopy and MRI scan at a cost of £7000!! Eek! I can't afford that and my insurance won't pay out as it's a pre-existing issue (and has a limit of £1000 anyway). Apart from the snorting noises my dog seems perfectly fine no lack of oxygen, happy, eating and drinking and playing etc.i didn't know what to do. I did a lot of reading and decided that there was a chance it was tracheal collapse as there's a big likelihood my dog may have been chained up as a pup, causing damage. Anyway, I came across an article about Throat Gold and decided I might as well give it a go, I had nothing to lose.There was no change for the first two or three weeks and then suddenly my son commented on how much quieter our dog was in the evenings. We'd got used to the constant snorting coming from his bed but now there was silence. And since then he has been so so much better. I wouldn't say whatever the problem is has gone away, because he still has days when his breathing is noisy or rasping or he gags a little, but generally he's much quieter and also seems much happier - it wasn't until he improved that we realised he was no longer sniffing things, but now he's like a bloodhound!So I don't know, I haven't tried anything else so it can only be this stuff that has made a difference and I'm so pleased. Yes it's expensive but cheaper than the exploratory tests, and I've just ordered a second bottle.

I have bought this a few times now as it seems to help our pug x chihuahua who often gets very snuffly and you can hear her airway is blocked. It’s really expensive which I don’t know if it’s a fair price or not but it works for us so we’ll use it!

I used this product to help manage my chihuahuas collapsed Trachea. I was happy to give it a go after reading the reviews and suppliers information.Unfortunately my dog did not respond at all, I noticed no improvement in the episodes of coughing and the dog did not show any signs of improvement, he still coughed and wheezed.I also noticed that when the dog slept he still awoke and had coughing fits. Unfortunately for me the product did not work but I hope you have more success and luck if you try this product out.

My dog has larynx porallosis and I have found this product eases the symptoms a bit pricey but well worth it

I have been adding this to my dogs food over the last month and I am not sure that this has improved his symptoms. It is easy to add to the food and didn't appear to give him any side effects but due to the high price I won't be buying anymore and will just continue with the Manuka honey.

Lilly is a 15 year old Chinese Crested X, who started to cough about a month ago. The symptoms was a series of coughs as if something was stuck in her throat which lasted about 10 to 15 seconds, and was repeated a few times. This happened every few hours.After using a single dose of Throat Gold, the symptoms reduced dramatically and now she only coughs occasionally - and not so badly. Whilst I could not say "clinically" that the Throat Gold was 100% responsible, I can say Lilly was a lot better after taking it - and she continues to do so.

My dog has had a collapsed trachea for around a year now, it was so bad recently I didn’t know how to cope and when I found this product I was skeptical on whether he was too far gone to see improvement, but after 3 weeks of use there’s been a massive change!Combined with a diet to ease the pressure on his throat, he coughs a few times a day when he’s extremely excited but doesn’t even cough when someone comes through the door and has minimal coughing when he’s playing with toys.I’m so pleased as I was starting to really worry about his quality of life and his future but this products definitely improved it whilst I’m also keeping his weight down and making sure he’s not as anxious/excited

For some reason, my Chihuahua developed a very dry throat and when she was anxious, it could stop her breath with her crouching, this has worked for her, it took awhile with one dose twice a day just four drops, but it really does soothe her throat and now it doesn’t happen very much at all. I also used to give her a little pinch of organic honey. She enjoyed that.. but I would recommend this as it has worked for her

this is our 3rd bottle of this, our dog has a collapsed trachea and when she first was diagnosed she was coughing badly ( sounded like a goose) we thought we would have to get her euthanised but this throat gold has worked wonders

Ok, I have a pure bred Pug who will be 16 in September. She has a cough that is terrible, it's been like this probably the last 3/4 years. It's daily at this point but can turn and get more frequent then develops into a goose like honk, wet/girgly coughing, and hacking like there is something stuck in her throat. My vet is on speed dial, we have tried every medication we can! She isn't sure if it's a collapsed trachea, or enlarged heart pushing on her throat, but I'm literally there so often they know my number when I call.Last appointment she gave me a new medication and said that was the last option to try, we've tried everything over the years! Whelp, goose honking and gurgles came back. I have to give my Pug shots to mildly sedate her in order for her to calm down and give her throat time to heal. It's so bad. I have to do this for 3/4 days, she's completely out of it, drugged, and it's just awful. And I get 0 sleep!I decided to order these drops as a last ditch effort since the reviews are decent. Today is day 7 and I *think* we are finally getting somewhere. She gets 7 drops twice a day, I drop them on wet dog food and feed that right to her before giving her her bowl of food.She slept better through the night finally last night. She's breathing better during the day, no more foaming at the mouth or wetness from coughing so much, and she's able to get her cough back under control quickly. I was nervous because it wasn't a quick fix like others have said, but I think just hang tight and see if things get better. I'm going to keep this as a daily thing since I can't risk her having another honking spell...but I'm getting more hopeful with each day. Worth every penny and honestly some miracle drops!!**update - she is literally 90% better! No joke! She is sleeping through the night, you can still hear the breathing issues/struggles a little throughout the day, but no coughing!! She has even started barking again!! Wow, these are worth EVERY penny!!
