Just ask your great grandpappy. He was there. Six years later, Continental Baking wanted to add a line of cakes to sell alongside a hot little item they were making called Wonder bread. This new line of sweet treats became known as Hostess. And a brand was born. Continental hit the sponge cake gold mine in 1930 when Jimmy Dewar invented Twinkies. At two for a nickel, popularity skyrocketed and it soon became Hostess’ best-selling snack cake. Twinkies have since become an American icon. Half a billion are made each year. That’s a lot of creme filling! In the summer of 1995, Interstate Bakeries Corporation acquired Continental Baking Company. This made Interstate the largest wholesale baker of fresh delivered bread and cake in the United States. In 2009, Interstate changed its name to Hostess Brands, Inc., to better reflect our beloved brands. Best solution for my pregnancy craving
I was craving these powdered donuts and hatted buying a ton at the gas station. So I bought these so I could have a little stock pile!

A childhood favorite, these definitely measured up to my memory of them. No quality issues at all; expiration date was far enough in the future that I didn't worry about them expiring before I finished them. Prime Pantry makes it convenient to get these when I order my "monthly" pantry box. I prefer these little 6-donut packs rather than the bags as it helps with "portion control." :-) Overall, good product, will order again.
Everything's good except the price.
Separate wrapper for each pack helps preserve the shape of each donut. If you've ever bought these in a bag you know what I'm talking about with all the broken donuts and crumbs at the bottom.Everything's good except the price. You can find these online for much cheaper.
