40% of people have a problem with their MTHFR gene expression, some with more problems than others.MTHFR impairment causes issues with being unable to methylate folic acid into methyl folate, or B12 into methylcobalamine, or B6 into P-5-P, the active biological forms needed by the body. it also creates problems making enough glutathione, the most important anti-oxidant in the body, essential for Phase II liver detoxification in which the toxic free radicals created by Phase I detoxification are reduced to harmless byproducts and flushed out of the body in the bile.People with MTHFR issues will not only have symptoms of B-deficiency, but they also have symptoms of excess B's because the non-active B's build up to toxic levels, because they cannot be methylated to use them or to get rid of them. This is why those with MTHFR issues will react negatively to normal B complex and to foods which are "fortified" with cheap artificial chemicals like folic acid: They do more harm than good since it is the inappropriate non-biologically active form (and some independent researchers think it may be contributing to the epidemic of autism when consumed by pregnant women).This product is excellent because it provides you with what you need in the form that those with MTHFR issues desperately need, and that helps your body to start detoxifying more efficiently because it enables the bio-chemical pathways which are not working. It will also help to lower the build up of homeocysteines, which leads to Alzheimer's, which is a particular problem for those with MTHFR. In combination with liposomal curcuminoids, this will activate Phase II liver detoxification too.I would recommend you take this product under the tongue and keep in the mouth for 15mins to absorb sublingually rather than swallowing, because those with MTHFR issues also tend to have low intrinsic factor, which is what stops B12 being destroyed in the stomach.You will know if you have MTHFR issues by virtue of being on the spectrum or nearly on the spectrum or being geeky or having poor social skills. You will probably also have excess brain fog, difficulty thinking, low stamina, or you have descended into chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and multiple food intolerances. In combination with this product, I would recommend removing grains and gluten from your diet, and eat a raw Ketogenic diet, since this will work better with the way your biochemistry works, and consequently you will feel a whole lot better.

Fantastic product!! I've been using this for about 6 months and I've definitely noticed a difference, particularly in my energy levels.When I first tried it, I began only using a few drops every day because I believe it's important to start slowly, particularly if you've had some health issues like I have. Even at this dosage, I noticed feeling more energised, more awake than I have in years!! My girlfriend says I'm like a different person!It's very easy to take. I just add it to a glass of water and have it with my breakfast or lunch. It doesn't have much taste, which is fine with me as you're supposed to have it with food any way. And I certainly prefer taking it to tablets.They use all the best active B vitamins available. For example, they use folate instead of the synthetic folic acid. I would advise looking at the Metabolics website to get more information about this marvellous product. I certainly won't ever take those fizzy energy tablets you get on the high street ever again. You know, the one that starts with a 'B'. They seem to be loaded with synthetic rubbish and don't even get me started about where their B12 comes from.I only take the full dose about 3 times a week now and that seems to work for me. One bottle lasts me about 3 months. It may seem expensive but when it comes to supplements, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this wonderful product!!

As someone struggling with the double whammy of PCOS and MTHFR Gene Mutation, this is one of the few supplements I've tried that I can say has genuinely made some difference to my symptoms. It's worth noting that many of the standard medications prescribed by doctors for PCOS can lead to Vitamin B deficiencies over time - this was certainly true in my case. In an attempt to try to feel less exhausted and fatigued, and my joints less achy, I had tried various different and 'cheaper' Vitamin B complex products and found that they had either had not effect or, paradoxically, made me feel worse. Some have even caused gastrointestinal distress.I've experienced none of those issues with this product and - after a month of taking this complex consistently - am beginning to notice some positive changes to my energy levels. Therefore, you may need to stick with this product for a little while before you experience any improvements. I take half a teaspoon per day in water alongside a meal as recommended, and it seems to work well for me. I actually far prefer taking it this way as I take enough tablets and capsules as is and, as a petite individual, some of them can be quite large. There is a bit of a metallic taste to this B complex, and an aftertaste, but you get used to it.Prior to this I had moved to a ketogenic diet, avoiding gluten and dairy products as well, whilst switching to more restorative forms of exercise with limited results. In combination with this Vitamin B complex, it seems like some of my efforts are finally paying off.
