And you get about 40 medium-large bell peppers per can, so the size is nice too, though I wish they sold a double filled can, so it would be more space-efficient in my prepper pantry.I use this in soups, stews, marinara, salsa, powdered in my spice grinder to flavor hummus and salad dressings. It's excellent. Buy one if you haven't already, YOU WILL LOVE IT!
Make Your Pasta Sauce With This :)
These must be added to water and soaked for about 13 minutes before use. Tastes great and doesn't go bad while waiting for your next use. I use the can opener that goes around the outside and the lid can be fit back into place, just under the white plastic lid. I found that it stays fresh much longer than directed this way. These peppers cook well in pasta sauce, they look good, and the texture is fine.

I use this every day in soups, stews, and other dishes and it's been a solid addition when store trips or availability of fresh has been an issue.Longest open can has gone about six months without any degradation that I could discern.In general, I find Augason Farms to have solid consistent products and, while expensive, for those of us far from stores, a good value as supplement and survival food. I use this product, the whole egg powder, the butter powder and the freeze-dried shredded cheese pretty much every day. No complaints.
