This cake was so wonderful. The rainbow specks are little specs of food colouring in the sponge as opposed to sprinkles which would change the texture. It looks fabulous, smells great and tastes fantastic. The flavour was exactly as I expected- a fairly rich vanilla with that unmistakable American sweetness, almost comparable to the flavour of a twinkie (with a completely different texture).It was an extremely bouncy, springy sponge- however, I must say we did separate our egg whites and yolks and whisked the white separately which contributes to a lighter sponge, but even so, this mix was bouncier than a homemade sponge. The cake tastes even better the next day, and it gets ever so slightly gooey (not soggy), which for me, improved the texture even more so. My only criticism is the price as I am in the UK so paid almost £6, however, I understand that this is an imported product and is worth the cost for a special occasion. I will be purchasing the Pilsbury funfetti cake mix next to compare and may update my review with my verdict!

This cake is incredible! The instructions are very easy to follow and the results are brilliant, you get an incredible moist cake.My children loves making this and it’s now their ultimate favourite cake.Be careful though! You won’t be able to stop eating it!

I’m a reasonably competent baker and normally make my own batter, but really couldn’t be bothered with the fuss and mess at the time. I’ve had some horrible packet cake mixes but was really impressed with this one. I love how the finished cake looks with the multicoloured bits in it. I actually made these as cupcakes but they were lovely and moist. It would have been good to easily get hold of the matching frosting to go on top.

Omg what’s not to like about funfetti cake this was amazing seller was quick and the cake turned out fantastic I added butter and milk instead of oil for more flavour! I would buy again I made it into a tray bake but you could do cake or cupcakes. I normally make my own cake batter but if you want something extra nice and no fuss this is the one to buy
