My mother in law is 97 and says she's type 2 diabetic - everyone, including the GP and the diabetic nurse , disagrees but she forked out for a blood sugar monitor and wanted the strips for it when the few she had with the unit ran out. Now, as I've said, she's 97 and even off and on switches flummox her - literally, up for on, down for off. So you can imagine using these strips were.....yeah, a head scratcher. My husband, her long suffering son (well, we're all long suffering with her, but he suffers the most these days), set it all up and gave it to her. Now, she's had other machines and smashed them in so many ways. Usually filling them with blood, no I'm not joking, until they clog like an artery on someone who's consumed nothing but fast food since birth. But these strips seem to stop her doing that and, so far, they've been working really well and seem to be holding her back from killing another little blood sugar monitor. So for cackhanded, elderly relatives who can't use torches without breaking them, these strips really work well.
