LOCTITE® 577 is designed for the locking and sealing of metal pipes and fittings as well as other threaded assemblies. The product provides an instant, low-pressure seal for metal pipes and fittings. It will not creep, shrink or shred. It has excellent chemical and thermal resistance and offers less migration of liquid product after application.

I have been successfully using this product for some time on radiator tails, metal to metal connections for shower arms and Grohe Rapido Roughing in boxes. I have also used it for outside garden taps (faucets if you are in the USA). It is not cheap but has always performed excellently.

It’s more expensive than ptfe tape (a lot) but if you want to be certain it’s going to seal you will not find anything better. I have used it in situations it’s not approved for (high vacuum) and it has worked perfectly.

C'est la vraie Loctite 577. Assez rare à ce prix. Vraiment plus pratique que le téflon.
Hervorragendes Dichtmittel
Ich habe seit langem mit verschiedensten Materialien versucht, 2 Zoll Verbindungen dicht zu kriegen. Egal ob Hanf oder Teflonband. Eine Verbindung hat immer geleckt. Ich hatte die Hoffnung schon aufgegeben, als ich das Dichtmittel gekauft habe. Alle Verbindungen sind gereinigt und mit der Dichtpaste sparsam benetzt worden. Zur Sicherheit habe ich 24 Stunden gewartet, bevor ich die Verbindungen mit einem Wasserdruck von 1,5 bar beaufschlagt habe.Erstmals seit langer Zeit sind wirklich alle Verbindungen einwandfrei dicht.Das Mittel hält, was es verspricht, dafür ist es mit etwa 25 € natürlich auch nicht günstig.
Werkt uitstekend.
Voortaan geen teflon meer om af te dichten.
