Description:
Rocksmith is the first and only video game where players can plug any real guitar with a standard quarter-inch input jack into an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, and play through an in-depth library of music including everything from the latest hits to classic rock. The use of a second Rocksmith Real Tone Cable allows for simultaneous split-screen cooperative play. The 11.25 feet cable will also allow players to plug in and record their instrument directly into their computer at 48KHz. The unique cable design ensures quick release of the guitar from the gaming console or computer to protect the player's gear.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb and works perfect on PC!
I bought Rocksmith2014 a while back and tried to use with a cheap phone-to-USB and it kind of worked on MIC input but I couldn't hear myself playing. So I bit the bullet and bought the proper RealTone lead, wished I'd done it earlier as it worked perfect. Bought this to play on my PC ( even though it says XBOX ) it actually says "XBOX ( and PC)" on the box.One word of warning if you're a beginner, DO NOT USE BLUETTOOTH HEADPHONES! People have complained of lag when playing, there is no lag from guitar to PC, there is lag from PC to bluetooth. You much run your headphones over wire direct to the headphones socket on your PC and it will be perfectly in time. It took me about 10 mins to work this out and one Steam post where the guy said you must not use anything but cables for everything. If you have about 3-4 months guitar experience then Rocksmith is superb and this cable is a must. I've only had it 2 days after a 6 month lapse in my practice and my playing has just rocketed off ( and my bl**dy fingers are killing me, LOL!! ).If you're serious about learning electric guitar, get Rocksmith2014 and this cable, you won't regret it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive Cable - RS ASIO can help you :)
Well really the cable works incredibly well but it is very expensive for what it does, many Midi to Usb cables can be purchased for £10 and infact £25 would be the cost of a rather expensive guitar cable. If you are forced into having to use this cable then it will work but I highly recommend using RS Asio if you get the chance.RS Asio will only work with the STEAM version of Rocksmith, I repeat only with the STEAM version of Rocksmith. You must also have an input on your soundcard which will take the guitar signal, so people using a Scarlett/Mackie/Audient/Presonus/ etc.Google RS Asio and then follow the links on github and you can also use Youtube to help you get it setup. I have found it to be just as good as the Protone cable and allows me to use my existing setup. It is such a shame that Rocksmith didn’t think about letting people use their existing equipment in the first place.
4.0 out of 5 stars It works and is good enough for the purpose of learning - although overpriced. No 24-bit recording capability.
Expensive? Yes. I was lucky to get mine for £20.48 (usually nearer to the £24.99 RRP) with used prices being at or near the price I paid, certainly if you bought Rocksmith original/2014 editions on Steam in a sale (like I did) then £20+ is far too much for what is, essentially, just a USB cable with a sound card chipset at one end and a guitar adaptor at the other. Now that being said, it is a long cable (11.25ft/3,429m) and thicker than the cheap USB cable I bought to try and doesn't suffer the interference that the cheap one does. However, the "breakaway" design is between the USB connector and the built-in sound chipset - so if you suffer a problem, you will have to replace the entire cable anyway, which defeats the whole purpose. A better idea would have been to have the breakaway design before the sound chipset housing, so as to be able to use alternative guitar cables if needed. As much as the description claims being able to record at 48Khz, for the purposes of Rocksmith you'll be locked into 16-bit 44.1Khz which leaves recording at 16-bit 48Khz for third-party applications like Audacity. 24-bit recording is not possible (but is with my SoundBlaster, just going through the line-in at that). It does smart to be held over the barrel like this (as it is effectively an anti-piracy device as well), especially if you have much better audio equipment. Further, this isn't a "get what you pay for" kind of deal but an "overpriced for what it is" kind of deal, so I'd advise waiting for the price to be no more than £20.99, if preferably £19.99 and below, before committing. But why the four stars? Well it does work well enough, the cable is more than long enough, fairly durable, and opens the way to learning to play the guitar. Just overpriced considering it's a glorified USB cable.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic packaging. Double layers of bubble wrap
Firstly, top notch delivery times. It said 'product unavailable' when ordering, however I was pleasantly surprised to receieve this with a week.Fantastic packaging. Double layers of bubble wrap, extra thick postage envelope - flawless. This enabled the product to arrive in pristine condidion. The product itself is fabulous. It came with clear instructions however these weren't needed, as it is a pretty straight forward product. After plugging in, you're ready to hit some chords! RockSmith has advanced my guitar skills more so in a month than I have been learning in an entire year.It works just fine on my PC - Windows 7 32-bit.The cable has a very good construction quality. It's thick with good rubber on isolation. It's also quite long - so you can stand back and play away from your PC if you so wish.I have absolutely no complaints. Flawless through and through! :-)
5.0 out of 5 stars Works great on xbox series S
This works great, but... due to the way the xbox works, there is sound lag! Why did they not include a 3.5mm jack out on the xbox?!?!?! it would have solved everything! The xbox does have an optical out, and if you have anything you can connect that to then you won't get lag. Otherwise you get lag!
5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfectly for PC version of Rocksmith Remastered 2014
Fully expected this to have dreadful latency and it turned out to be better than my audio interface. I didn't need to fine tune it before I launched Rocksmith 2014, did everything within the game and is damn near perfect.
Great guitar interface
Arrived quickly and worked immediately. It is essential to choose 48kHz to minimize delays. I must say the guitar sounds much much better than on the small (15W) practice speaker.
Good cable
Good
good
does its job
Worth for playing the game
Works perfect to play rocksmith!! It's a little expensive, however worth the price
