Having been advised by the kitchen fitters to oil new surfaces with another leading brand, I was disappointed with the result. My decorator said to try Osmo and I haven't looked back. It is now on all work surfaces in the new kitchen, and repels water, oil, and other kitchen detritus with ease. Easy to keep clean and looks fabulous.Make sure you follow the instructions and use two or three thin coats not one thick one and be prepared to give it enough time to dry between coats. Lengthy process but very worth it. I've done all my doors as well now as a result.

Great product, just very expensive! Reallygood coverage and leaves a lovely finished - it’s really brought the grain out nicely in the oak. We purchased the 2.5L tin and it easily covered 2 coats over 8 internal doors, and we still have nearly half left.

Brilliant product, great value
A very good product that goes a long way
If you have a prepped surface it is very easy to apply. I used a 5 mm nap micro fibre roller as recommended. It goes on very easily and you must be careful to spread it thoroughly ie don’t put on a thick coat. Touch dry in about 10-12 hours. You can recoat it if needed and also apply it over a previous Asmo surface. Sand with fine paper if needed. The low sheen version is very subtly shiny; we chose the satin sheen. I liked the result so much I applied it to some furniture and a wooden bannister. If you are working over a few days, then wrap your brushes and roller in plastic bags and they will be usable on the next day ie exclude the air. No need to clean them every day. There is a chemical smell that lingers for about a week but not intolerable. Very happy with the results but the better your surface, the finer the result.
