We ordered this Brio set for our twin boys. It came with a small storage box. The set contains a very wide range of pieces and needs to be assembled by an adult. There is a great variety of track sections, stations, and types of vehicle. This includes a crane, tube train with inbuilt flashing head lights (excellent), boat to dock with train/cranes, and figures that fit in the trains. The pieces are beautifully made, with great attention to detail. For example, the lorry has a cab that opens to reveal the engine, and the rear section slides to release "cargo" (which can in turn be picked up by the crane with the magnet). The set in its entirety is (a little) advanced for our two year old boys in terms of having the skills to construct it and not pull it apart - but they are playing with all the vehicles/trains on sections of the track. Overall, a big hit with them, and a good investment for future play. I wouldn't change anything about the set, I'd just make the storage box a little bigger - especially as we will be buying additional bits. Recommend.

Bought for our sons 5th birthday. He really loves the set but needs help assembling it. It's good quality wood, and a very nice town set. It is not cheap, clearly. But it will be his to treat well, play with, and pass on to his own kids one day. It is durable wood after all. Goes well with the RC engine and even the smart tech engines.It's quite large and will need some floor space, so bear that in mind when your child won't let you put it away :)

I rarely write reviews but compelled to to review this train set. We bought it for our 26 month old train and car set obsessed little boy. He has a simpler much cheaper train set with bridges which he loves but was clearly getting bored with. This set has been a huge hit and he has ignored all of his other Xmas presents including a tablet from granny in favour of this. He loves operating the station doors, the lift and putting all the passengers into the train. The crane is a little tricky for him but overall a wonderful well built little set. Only minor gripe is that the upper level tracks tend to come apart easily given the slight lack of support but it's easily rectified. We managed to get this in the black Friday sale when it was sub £100 and an absolute bargain at that price for Brio. Highly recommended.

A beautiful and good quality brio set with lots of interesting things for a train obsessed toddler to play with. Love the multi level play, the little lift in the station and the loading dock for the boat. My 3 year old plays with this every day and is very pleased with the gift. Hours of fun ahead.

My 3 year old is obsessed with trains, so this was always going to go down well. There is lots do on this with the 3 different trains, tunnells, stations etc. Its quite expensive, but if you look at what you get compared to the other products, I think it's relatively good value.

Bought this for my then 2 year old. He plays with this for hours - it is the toy he plays most with by far. And now he is 3 and his little brother of 1 joins in too. There are a lot of different stations and accessories in this pack which makes for interesting layouts. We supplemented with some extra track packs and have since acquiredore stations and signal points and bridges etc. The components are very well made and have so far withstood much abuse without incident. We love Brio in our house!

After owning similar IKEA train sets, I took the plunge and order Brio thinking they were better quality and they were the original of this style. It seems other manufacturers have developed it further but Brio hasn't. As someone else pointed out the pieces break easily at the joints, IKEA solved this with stronger plastic joints. Again as another person pointed out, the pieces fit together too loosely and your child ends up knocking the down the bridges easily and gets frustrated with the whole thing.Another bug bear with this set is it is not motorised, at this price range Lego and Duplo sell motorised sets, both of which I would rate higher than this. To motorise this set you have to spend another £20-30 on a new train, and then that causes new issues with the junctions, you need switchable junctions, which not surprisingly you have to buy separately as well.Another side point is this whole set is small for the price range, we expected a bigger set, the rock shape bridge pieces are fillers for the box making it look like you're getting more than you really are.My son loves trains, but he played with the IKEA version a lot longer than this, and combined with the above issues, so I really cannot recommend this set, nor Brio over IKEA trains, Duplo or Lego train sets at this time. If they improve the joints strength, machine tolerances of pieces and include motorised trains with switchable junctions then this would be the right price point.

Es una pista impresionante, muy chula y de muy buena calidad y por supuesto no le falta detalle. La compre para mi hijo de 2 años, al que le fascinan los trenes y le ha encantado, echa horas jugando con la pista todos los días. Es cierto que los anclajes se desarman con facilidad, pero es que este tipo de pistas son todas así. Si el niño quisiera montar una pista usando la imaginación y los anclajes fueran duros le costaría montarla. La pista tal cual aparece en la foto lógicamente un niño tan pequeño no la da montado, yo se la monte al peque y todavia no la desarmó, de hecho si se le cae alguna pieza, rápido me viene a dar las quejas para que se la coloque otra vez. Aquí en casa jugamos todos con ella, es muy entretenida. Yo le compre la locomotora que va a pilas de la misma marca que va genial. La pega que le pongo, es que la caja en la que viene, aunque es muy chula y se convierte en tapiz, cuando la abres y transformas en tapiz es enana, no coge ni la mitad de la pista encima, con lo cual mo le veo el sentido. Aún así la recomiendo totalmente.

Cercavo una pista in legno, robusta, dove mio figlio potesse giocarci sia con le automobiline che con i treni. Ho trovato tutto ció in questa pista, è molto bella e completa di tutto.La pista contiene tutti veicoli a spinta manuale, nessuno va a pile o a carica.Un vagone treno “giallo” emette suoni e luci quando viene spostato.L’unica nota negativa, che ho letto già in altre recensioni e che purtroppo ho riscontrato anche io, è che lasciando andare i veicoli da soli, durante le discese, escono dai binari.Per quanto riguarda le dimensioni, l’ho messa su un tavolino di 118x77 e ci va perfetta, avanza quasi nulla.La consiglio dai 3 anni in sù, prima non verebbe sfruttata a pieno e la consiglio proprio perchè diversa dalle piste che ci sono ora, dove ai bambini non resta solo che guardare le macchine/treni muoversi.Qui è il bambino il protagonista, sceglie lui chi/cosa far muovere, inoltre ci sono anche dei piccoli personaggi da inserire nei vari veicoli o, per esempio, fargli fare l’ascensore(c’è un piccolo ascensore, anch’esso manuale).È un bel gioco, il classico da tenere come ricordo.
