I bought this to restore my wooden front door, which had been somewhat sun faded over the last three years. I wasn't looking forward to this job as I had researched and read a lot of conflicting opinions on all of the things I might need to do to refurbish the door, including taking it off it's hinges, stripping the door and applying multiple coats over 24 hours. *Spoiler* I didn't need to do any of those things.After cleaning off the door, I simply applied a coat evenly. You do not need to strip or sand the door at all, and I was able to re-oil the entire door without taking it off it's hinges.A second coat can be applied if required, but I didn't need to do this as the finish of the door was so much nicer after one coat, it looked almost as good as the day it was installed.There is plenty of oil left so it should allow me to maintain my door for a few more years.This is quite expensive oil, but it lasts well, is easy to apply with minimal preperation and dries quickly to look really good. Get product, highly reccomended.

It goes a long way, has very little odour and gave the low gloss finish we wanted. Although intended for outside use there is no reason you can't use this inside - which is what I did. I've used it on the inside of our window frames since they will be exposed to moisture sometimes from condensation and cleaning, and so it would match I then also used it on skirting boards and other woodwork inside. I like that it soaks in to the wood rather than just a surface coating that water can get under and damage.Apply thinly though! Use too much and this stuff will go tacky and not dry well. If anything apply thinner than you think you need, and if needed do a second coat.

Having salvaged some of our old Ash tree (that fell victim to the storms we had two and a half years ago), I needed something to seal the sections I used to create the table top in the photographs. A good friend recommended this Osmo product and I'm glad he did. Really easy to apply and very economical in use. The table has had four coats now and there is still more than half a tin left. Makes the wood look really rich and water just seems to bead off the surface. The only slight downside is it takes a long time to dry (minimum 12 hours between coats) but it's worth it for the finish. Only time will tell how long it lasts, but so far, I'm very happy to recommend this product.

Excellent protection for wood. I used the clear version on vertical slats that receive many hours daily of direct sunlight and no greying has occurred. I do put on two coats, 2 days apart, every 10-12 months
