Excellent Item But Poor Suggested Fixing Method

The idea of this flyscreen and the way it works is excellent. What is not so good is is the suggested method of fixing.I have a UPVC door but with a wooden frame with the door opening outward and I initially used the suggested method of fixing using the velcro pieces supplied. This proved to be useless with the velcro detaching from the door surround within a short time, probably due to the not particularly agressive self-adhesive used. After much thought this is the fixing method I used:-I was able to insert a 6mm wooden dowel through the hem of both curtains (I used a pencil sharpener on the end of the dowel to make insertion easier). I then banged in three fine headless nails along the top of the door frame, bent them over at right angles and then dropped the dowel rod over these. Prior to this because the width of the two curtains were wider than my door I had to turn over the side hems 3 times on each side (I used double sided tape to do this) and then used a staple gun to staple this hem every 6" down the side frames. I finished off by using a black felt marker to colour the silver staples black.The action of the magnets work brilliantly both ways. I hope my suggestions help you get the best out of this excellent product which has been seriously let down by the fixing method.

Cheap and not the one pictured.I have the one pictured on another door in my home but sadly I came to find out that this one is not the same kind. The one pictured has the magnets sewn into the front closure on either side and they open and close easily and securely. It stays closed even in a hearty breeze, and it fastens to the doorway with velcro tape (which was included in the one I already have) around the entire outside edge which is a nylon material sewn onto the screen curtain. Although it's not really important, the one pictured also has a lace valance attached to it.The one I received has no valance, the magnet closures are cheap plastic items snapped along the centre of the curtain on the outside of the trim, the "fabric" trimming the curtain looks more like interfacing fabric that has either been heat pressed or glued to the screen fabric, and the velcro stickers are just that, 12 rectangular stickers that don't stick. It also included some rather useless thumb tacks that look more like upholstery tacks.I knew it wouldn't be the same size as my door and would need modification, but there are not enough "stickers" to keep it around the door properly. Even after cleaning the door frame the "stickers" won't stay attached to it. The thumbtacks tear the fabric of the mesh, and it LOOKS cheap and nasty.I can't return it because it's been modified.My advice? Pay a bit more next time and get a better quality.

Effective design but could be better

We've got a puppy and needed something that she wouldn't play with to hang in the door instead of the ribbon or thread curtains. This is a very good design in that it does keep out flies and snaps closed nicely behind you. As others have said, it is let down by not enough velcro strips, so I would recommend getting some more. The main flaw is that the velcro seems to want to come away from the curtain itself. We've resorted to stapling the velcro to the curtain. The dog has been able to work out getting through it okay. It's now ripped in a couple of places from sharp puppy claws and her standing on it, but we're buying another one because I haven't seen anything better. I'm expecting the next one to last slightly longer as she's got a bit more intelligence now. I figure, even if we end up buying two a year, at this price it's worth the money.Update: We took this off the pvc door frame at the end of the summer and the sticky pads left horrendous yellow stuff all over the frame - nightmare to get off. Wouldn't buy it again for this reason.

Fait ce qu'on lui demande.Les aimants sont assez forts et bien réguliers. Bande en haut qui permet de maintenir la moustiquaire fermée.La qualité est bonne.Assez costaud pour tenir une saison.possibilité de clouter ou de mettre des scratchs c'est pratique.Les animaux comprennent que ça soit blanc ou noir lol

Arrivato il pacco un giorno prima !Zanzariera apposto di tutto rispecchia le specifiche date molto esaustive.Io ho una finestra più alta e quindi metto un palo a molla e l'attacco con delle fascette!Bolo FOREVER!!

si adatta bene alla mia finestra e funziona a meraviglia anche se migliorabile l'adesività per fissaggio su infissi in metallo, i collanti con il calore estivo non tengono. Comunque soddisfatto del negozio per puntualità e rispondenza degli oggetti nonché per l'ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.
