It is quite moist in the packet so to avoid mould issues we froze ours on arrival and just take a slice from the freezer to toast as we need it.

For those of us who would prefer not to eat wheat products, this Biona rye bread is ideal being delicious and also coming in a very accessible, long slice shape easily detachable from the rest of the packet plus this bread comes not only plain, as this one is, but with a variety of different add-ons! Truly delicious, every one of the options.

I like this bread but as with other yeast free breads tends to be on the dry side. However, I like the flavours and aroma and it is very filling. I tend to eat it with moisture rich foods such as vegetable base pates/spreads or with a deliciously dressed salad, or on occasion a slither of manuka honey.. or even a drizzle of olive or other oil may also enhance the taste. This is one of the few yeast free breads that I enjoy eating so I do tend to repurchase.

This was the worst tasting bread I have ever tried. A sour/salty flavor like undercooked dough andwith a gritty, dense and very dry texture. Completely inedible. Thrown the rest of the loaf out to the birds and even they don't seem to like it. I'm going to give the rest away if I can find anyone that will take it.

The composition is too high in bran, because it is wholegrain. This is a poor choice for long life bread, which is baked without the raising enzymes contained in yeast. It results very dense to start with, bran making it even denser.Even long life bread is expected to be a bit porous, but this one is not.I can hardly think of any use for it, other than very last resort when you run out of fresh bread on a Sunday afternoon.
