I've wanted a cordless circular saw for a while and this one is just brilliant. Comes as a bare unit, so no battery but I have a drill in the XR range with a second battery so that works for me. If you register the tool on the DeWalt website the guarantee is extended to 3 years. This one has a smaller diameter blade than my corded circular saw so it is good for DIY work not professional. It is really light, I was surprised, which makes it really easy to use without needing arms like Arnold Swarzenegger. Can raise the blade for shallow cuts and can angle for bevels too. I am so pleased with this saw and really glad I bought it.

Not the most comfortable but it gets the job done. Well build and it cuts like a butter cement board with the included blade

This saw I found to be convenient to use. However the screw fixture that allows the base of the saw to tilt and lock was jammed or cross threaded. Using a pair of pliers I was able to free it and then resecure it. Eventually I will need to replace it with my own fixture. I could return the saw for a replacement, but I want to use it now and not have the hassle of replacing it.

There is much to recommend the De Walt circular saw. I have previously reviewed this product but as part of a 'Stak' box set incorporating the saw, a battery, a blade and battery charger. The purchase that I now review relates to the 'bare' product of saw only - no battery, no charger ... although it did include a blade (which I actually wasn't expecting).So now I have 2 De Walt circular saws, and for good purpose: you can't get enough of a good thing! The saw itself is balanced perfectly and makes light work of even the most dense of woods. Intricate cuts are easy to set up (although a practice cut in advance is always good advice) and the variable depth setting is ideal for cutting grooves for subsequent chiselling, or for a specific depth to avoid unwanted cutting of a surface below. You will get optimum performance using De Walt rechargeable batteries which I have found to outlast other brands and deliver the kind of sawing resilience needed for longer jobs. All in all, I have been very pleased by both the build standard and performance of the De Walt circular saw.

Je ne suis pas un professionnel, je suis bricoleur. Il est souvent difficile de tirer une rallonge électrique au font du jardin pour se service d'outils électro-portatifs. J'ai donc acheté cette scie circulaire DeWalt à batterie. J'ai déjà d'autres outils de cette marque à batterie, et j'en suis pleinement satisfait.La première chose que j'ai remarqué en déballant cette scie est son faible poids par rapport à ma scie filaire. Ensuite la facilité avec laquelle elle s'utilise, ergonomique, précise et puissante. Certains lui reprochent le double interrupteur (gâchette et bouton de sécurité), je n'ai eu aucune difficulté à m'y habituer. Aussi, lorsque l'on lâche la gâchette la scie cesse immédiatement de tourner, je trouve cela très rassurant.J'ai constaté au fil des ans qu'une bonne scie ne coupe bien que si elle est équipée d'une bonne lame, en fait la lame est peut-être encore plus importante que la scie elle-même. Celle que j'ai acheté a été livrée avec une lame DeWalt d'excellente quanlité (DT 10640). J'ai été étonné de la qualité de cette lame, je rachèterai la même lorsque j'en aurai besoin.Je recommande cette scie circulaire, comme tous les autres outils de cette marque. C'est du matériel de qualité et qui donne envie de bricoler.
