Excellent bit of kit . Complete with its own storage box . Easy to use and with the tool which I also purchased at the time , it made light work of getting the floor tiles up . It's right what they say . You need the right tools to do the job . This was so easy and made , the age of a hammer and bolster seem like a bygone time . The item is a good piece of kit for home use and saves you an age in "tool time " Well made and a fair price for a time saver .

Great drill but only takes SMS drill bits which are more expensive or buy an adapter for £15 but then it's bulky and heavy at the point you need to see so it's awkward for lighter jobs. Overall a very capable bit of kit for the price

Using this drill is one of life's pleasures. I see why other reviewers have said they'd like to take their's on holiday with them.It cuts through concrete and brick like it's not even there. You'll actually be wondering if there is a problem with the wall you're drilling into because it does it so effortlessly.You have to buy new drill bits because it uses a great system for inserting and retaining the bits but this is also fantastic.It's also not just a hammer drill. It's a normal drill, a driver and a chisel if you buy the chisel bits.If you do take it with you on holiday, don't check it in with your suitcases as baggage handlers will certainly grab it. The security people on the x-ray machine will understand and let you through when they see the look of joy and satisfaction you have on your face as you describe using this drill to them.

Type of useAdvanced DIY .Used on rotary / hammer with a 20mm core bit for pipes and on hammer only action to chase out cement for repointing , this drill made it ALL easy, absolutely no problem , of course removing old mortar you have to learn best practise with the drill and which way is most effective. That just took couple of minutes .Previously I was struggling with repointing with hammer/ chisel because of hard mortar , this drill made job trouble free and lot less ( 50 % at least ) work.Drill performanceWell built , powerful , versatile , didn't jam in bricks , doesn't get hot when used continuously or enthusiastically .ConclusionI paid more for the Bosch name on the tool ( though I know it was made in the far east ) because I hoped the maker would ensure quality in the product .Good decision . Yes , I would recommend drill . well worth the money .

Very easy to use simple to have and fly's into the job and does with ease and power and proved to be a an ideal tool at any point.

I have not used the drill yet so I cannot comment on its performance. I’m sure it’s up to the usual Bosch standard. I have to take issue, though, with the keyless chuck that comes as standard. It only takes SDS-plus drill bits. For me, this means that the drill bits I have (a comprehensive Bosch set) are now completely redundant and I have had to spend initial money to purchase drill bits that work with the machine. Of course, you can also shell out more additional money to buy another chuck that will take ordinary drill bits. It would have been nice (and fairer) in the item description if it had stated clearly that only a particular type of drill bit works with the chuck provided. My fault, I suppose, that I didn’t read the fine print before buying

Absolutely amazing sds hammer drill
After a lot of research and reading online reviews, I finalized on this Bosch sds drill as I needed one to build garage shelves on a brick wall. I own a Bosch 750W universal impact hammer drill and I did not have a pleasant experience with it when drilling through the Victorian bricks which are as hard as stone. After finally getting my hands on this sds drill, I gave it a go on one of the spare bricks lying in my backyard, and I was in for a pleasant surprise. This drill is totally bang for the buck. It drilled through the brick effortlessly like a hot knife through butter. I was able to drill a 5cm deep hole using an 8mm sds drill from Bosch in like under 15 secs.Wish I had bought this drill before I purchased the universal impact drill, which is a good drill on its own, but nothing compared to this beast. Without any doubts I would highly recommend this sds drill.
No clear instruction how to install the drill bit
the user manual is poorly written and no instruction how to install regular drill bit and no mention of adapter to insert regular bits
