No predrilled holes on most receiving parts of joins (all joins on drawers). Screwing into very soft pine causes it to split, and alignment without a workshop is a challenge even with an extra pair of hands. Looks ok, but had multiple splits including one that shows despite careful, slow assembly. Instructions are mediocre, and likely not tested. Should have returned. Not worth half the price paid. For this price should have cams and such, not just a bunch of wood screws.

Exactly as described, comes nicely packed and with clear instructions. And when I mean clear I mean clear- I built it myself (woman) without any power tools. Beautiful colour and seems relatively sturdy. The shelve's bottoms seem rather flimsy but we had it for few months and seem to hold so perhaps it's just my impression. Definitely recommend. I will be buying another one of these for my other son's bedroom.

Does manage to pull off the look of oak quite well given it's solid pine. Drawers work OK and if you take your time it's possible to have them spaced evenly and straight. This is where we lost a star - assembly. The instructions are reasonably clear but:- One screw missing (fine I have tons)- very easy to over tighten screws particularly on the drawer rails (and have them freely turning then-after)- would recommend wood glue as you go (dowels in particularly) to add strength- drawers were a bit painful as you'd fine there's no pre-drilled guide holes on the cross sections. Fortunately I used some quick grips to help me line up the pieces as best as I could to get even fitment. The drawer bottom is not square so make sure you check it's correct (only noticed on the last drawer so pretty lucky!). Again i've glued the drawers to make sure they last.- back and drawer bottoms is just ply as you'd expect at the price range so I wouldn't overload the drawers.- it does come with a wall retainer to stop it tipping which I'd recommend if you've got kids or are likely to put heavy items in it. I'm using it for hats/scarfs.- took about two hours to put together given I like to take my time and get things square as poss.- packaging a bit damaged but nothing was inside
3.0 out of 5 stars A nice piece of furniture spoiled by poor quality control
The overall design is neat and well thought out. It's a flat-pack, and my main complaint is that four of the pieces were damaged. This of course only became apparent after delivery when opening the box and taking out all the bits. The worst was one side piece where the edge had snapped off. Another had a long crack, and two more had chips of wood broken off (one of which was in the box). Also, one of the metal drawer handles would not screw on because the screw thread had not been machined.Rather than return the whole thing (it's heavy and hard to pack back into the box) I glued the damaged pieces back together and found a way to attach the handle that had no thread. This required extra tools, not just the screwdriver and mallet the instructions claim: glue, clamps, self-tapping screw. It is also useful to use a fine drill bit to drill pilot holes for some of the screws: most of the wood is soft but not near knots. Aside from these problems it's reasonable value for money and looks neat. Nothing special, but it will do the job.

Very cute side tables. They are a little short for how tall our bed is, so we purchased 10cm legs to put underneath the tables to make them taller.
