Long reach razor sharp shears were beyond our expectations. Well made, slightly heavy, but the best I have ever owned.

These seem to be a reasonably strong construction with quite a long cutting blades and handles which gives a good reach across larger shrubs/hedging. In use on woody shrubs they cut quite well. My only criticism would be I find the handle too slim a thicker grip with a better covering giving a slightly softer feel would have been better. Other than that issue pleased so far with this product

My trusty shears have done well, but they've reached that point where it's time to retire them. These have made for a very good replacement and, at the moment, the cutting edges are sharp and efficient and they're comfortable to hold.

First, these shears ARE razor sharp. Cut my thumb and then finger running carefully along the blade to clear debris - but not carefully enough! It is a really good pair of shears and does the job. I had to ease off the tightening on the main screw a little (no problem) for easier action. It's not exactly self-cleaning: does get "glued up" a bit after heavy use (Hornbeam hedge): but wipe it over after use with 3-in-1 oil and also oil the moving parts before putting away and it should last for years. A good and, thankfully, British tool.

Nur für schwache Hecken geeignet
meine uralte Noname Baumarktschere sollte ersetzt werden, mit dieser Schere ist mir das nicht gelungen.Bei gleichen Maßen wirkt die nicht gerade billige S & P zierlich und dem entsprechend ist der Schneidvorgang. Sie eignet sich wirklich nur für Blätter oder ganz schwache Äste.Da war ich mit meiner alten Schere doch besser bedient, die Hebelwirkung ist einfach stärker und der Wellenschliff der Schere trägt wohl dazu bei, dass auch mal stärkere Äste durchtrennt werden können.Fazit die S & P taugt wohl eher nur zum frisieren schwacher Anpflanzungen, ich empfehle für einen kräftigen Schnitt eine Schere mit Wellenschliff.Mittlerweile hat der Verkäufer wohl die tatsächliche Qualität der Schere erkannt und den Preis um 21,-€ !!! gesenkt, den seinerzeitigen Preis 49,60 € betrachte ich im Nachhinein als blanke Abzocke.
