When a Guinea pig goes off their food, something is very wrong and it can turn into an urgent life threatening medical issue. This emergency food that you use t syringe feed the sick piggy is incredible stuff.i have yet to have a piggy reject this while off their food unless it is too late to save them. There is something in it that is like piggy crack and it stimulates them to eat. If a Guinea pig doesn’t eat for several hours, it causes big problems with their guts which can lead to a premature end.I swear by this stuff and always keep a spare box in the cupboard as part of my emergency kit for my piggies. If you have small pets, this can be a real life saver for them until they can be seen by a vet and for palliative care.

I have an old Chinchilla who has to have some of this as a daily supplement. I alternate between giving it to him dry so he can lick the powder or mixed with cold water or warm water. He seems to enjoy the daily variation of that.

If you have small animals, then it's ideal to keep this product in stock at home. If ever they dip a bit or need perking up, I give my guinea pigs a little it of this. Especially when they are poorly or recovering from surgery.

Great product but it’s disgusting that you have nearly added an extra £5 onto an already very expensive product - terrible price when it’s to help animals WHY MAKE IT EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE BY NEARLY £5?!?!

I normally buy this from my vets but as it worked out more expensive I thought I'd buy it off Bolo.Taste depends on your rabbit. Cocoa will happily eat it but it's a struggle to get Poppy to eat it and she is the rabbit currently off her food.Value for money I have saved £15Size of packet is fine, I was advised to feed my rabbit at least one a dayI was disappointed that it only has a use by date of six and a half months. What I get from the vets has over a year.Although I would recommend this product, I would also warn you to think carefully as to whether you would finish the whole box if you received one with such a short use by date. I know that this will go out of date before I finish the box unless my rabbits go off their food a number of times this year. I will be going back to the vets once this goes out of date and just pay the extra money.

Previously had this from the vet but didn't want to keep going back through them for more. Poorly guinea pig was losing weight and this recovery food gave him the boost he needed to start eating properly and gain weight again. He ate it straight from the bowl as he wasn't poorly enough to need it syringing.

Found what looks like plastic?!?!?!?!??!!Also, be careful if giving to a guniea pig long term, it contains alfalfa - which is high calcium and can cause stones.I'm going to stick with the Burgess one

Had poorly guinea pig. I was prescribed this from vet for my rabbit to help keep his gut moving whilst he was poorly last Xmas. I then had a poorly guinea pig and had 2 sachet left over. And then bought a box on Bolo. He loved it too. It is a good product. Though expensive. I would recommend having a sachet or box in your cupboards as you never know when your going to need it. The only downfall is the price. STILL GO TO VET THOUGH. This is to help recovery and keep them eating.
