Usual facom quality - a brand I prefer to buy when you want a quality tool. Cheap tools work well - but facom keeps going - many of mine are 25 years + and still as good as new . Sadly I lost this small extension somewhere so needed to be replaced

We live in a time where the vast majority of things being manufactured are designed and produced in a way that ensures that the end user will need to replace their "things" when they eventually fail.But there are still some brands that design and produce products with the goal of providing the end user with a "thing" that does not fail, and has the ability to be maintained and repaired as opposed to replaced.Personally, now that I have a few different products from Facom, I have concluded that their ratchets are definitely suited to a certain type of user, but due to their sealed nature, I cannot maintain or repair them in the same way I can my Proto ones, but I do acknowledge their utility to others. Now with regards to their other products such as this 250mm 1/4" extension bar, I find it very difficult to consider anyone else for when I need other extension bars in the future; this is due to its simplicity in design, build quality, and finish with the stamped markings as opposed to etched ones.Conclusion:If you want/need a 250mm 1/4" extension bar that you only want to buy once, and can be easily maintained, and most importantly will not fail, then this will meet your requirements.
