The Medisure Steam Inhaler is easy and convenient to use, with a non-slip base and two handles to aid use and prevent spillage. It is insulated to help retain heat and has a pvc-free nasal mask to aid inhalation. This product is widely used to help clear the airways as its warming and moisturising effects help loosen mucus and catarrh. This helps relieve the symptoms of coughs, colds flu and blocked sinuses.
Directions
1. Fill the steamer with water as indicated in tank. 2. Adjust steam settings if available. 3. Position your face over output while avoiding direct contact hot surface. 4. Use for a few minutes, taking breaks needed to avoid discomfort. 5. Repeat process necessary relieve symptoms or regular facial treatments. 6. Always follow safety measures, such use surfaces electrical outlets nearby.

I purchased this for my hairdresser as she was using the old way with a bowl and towel over her head!!I used this alone with Olbus Oil and it certainly did the job within a week my cold had gone.I used it 3 times a day after meals, fantastic.The mug is good quality and fits over the nose with air holes and is good value for money.

I usually use a face steamer to steam my sinuses when a cold leads to sinusitis but it is big and bulky, noisy and has to be plugged in. This is an acceptable alternative for short term, quick and easy use and obviously no noise so I can breathe steam while watching TV. The holes in the sides of the mask were annoying so I covered them with duct tape to make sure that the steam didn’t escape (it doesn’t last very long because you can’t get much water in the cup and the instructions say not to use boiling water). I haven’t tried it with menthol in but I think that would work too. An acceptable aid when a cold causes problems although I don’t think I would let a child use it because the lid would come off too easily and could lead to scalding,

Decent item,works fine abit basic but i do not recommended 5.00 for a cup breather when you could use an inhaler or ventilator not worth it. Though no smell. Really easy to clean because its a damn cup. Steam is nice that comes out of it but what do you know its steam but "steams alright i guess" said by francis btw. Quite durable really is not against fire or a hydralic press though weird. And i guess is soft on the skin wdym idk. Though good if you dont have an inhaler but have a kettle.

The cup itself is well made and easy to use. One exception being the mask that you place over you mouth and nose has a chemical plastic smell that I did not like. I tried to get rid of the smell with out any luck. So if you have difficulties with tolerating smells this is worth noting. The cup is very easy to spill the boiling hot water all over yourself. I would not let my grandchildren use this cup.Placing your face right into the mask and breathing in will get your nose burnt with extra hot steam. There is no evenness to the steam quality. The steam is either too hot or too little. Overall there was not enough steam for my needs. I have very dry mouth and throat with hoarseness in the morning. So maybe that is why I did not find this cup helped me much.I have now bought a portable nebuliser off ebay.co.uk. The nebuliser produces cold fine water droplets. Much safer around children. You can use them without any medication, only water. I wish I had bought the nebuliser sooner. It has helped my asthma, I feel I can really breath deep. I did not know what I was missing! My advice is to try a nebuliser first.

OK - It's cheap, really cheap, but in some ways that is glaringly obvious, and nore than it needs to be.Of course it works - how could it not? It's the simplest of concepts, and yet there are annoying 'failings' that really don't need to be there.It's basically a cup, in which you put hot water with (possibly) a crystal of menthol, fitted with a lid and a rubber face mask, into which you place your face to inhale the warm fumes.However there are failings that really make no sense - in that they don' t even make the item cheaper.1. The face mask is not well shaped. It simply doesn't fit the face well (no, not just MY face - trust me - ANY face), and there's no reason for that. It's just... well... poor design. Simple as that.2. The 'inlet' for face mask is directly under where your lower lip is, meaning you inhale and that hot steam hits you right under the lower lip which is uncomfortable. Again no valid reason at all except unthinking design.This really looks like an item designed, made, sold, but never actually tested - if someone had tested it, they'd have got back to the designer saying 'Hey, there are a couple of small changes you need to make) and this item woyld have been so much better for no extra cost.
