I wrote a full review (with more photos) about my other version of this knife here:Spyderco Dragonfly 2 Salt Lightweight Rustproof Spyder Edge Knife - YellowI bought this second one because I think for me this non-serrated version will work better for most uses.See that review for the full details, but in short:- Amazing 34g weight!- Opens with one hand.- Can be converted to a UK legal (non-locking, under 3 inches) knife with an excellent finger choil (round cutout under the blade) which is much safer than most other non-locking knives.- Razor sharp from the factory and the VG-10 steel holds its edge beautifully.- Comfortable to use.If you want something "stylish" then this plain edge version is better looking, with a beautiful flat grind (edge shape) and the Spyderco logo instead of the H1 logo. Not very visible in my photo, as it was taken on my phone.I did switch the handle colours, because the yellow goes well with the less aggressive looking plain edge version, so I'll have that as my non-locking one for use outdoors.The black handle and serrated edge both look slightly more threatening, even on such a small knife, so I'll keep that combo as a locking knife for indoor use.You can purchase this VG-10 steel version with an orange handle but I don't like that tone of orange, too bright, almost neon looking. If you want to add some colour, you can get Sugru rubber in many different colours, it will likely fit nicely into the pattern on the handle. For example, black handle with apple-green sugru could look nice and unique.Mine was about £60 here on Bolo, but check around, prices vary. On Heinnie I saw the serrated VG-10 black one for about £50 and serrated H1 yellow for about £53.I hope this is helpful.

The best knife of its size I have ever owned. Unbelievably light weight in your pocket. It has an incredibily sharp blade. After 3 months of use it still holds its edge.

Paid the extra special low price of £45.30 for this (typically >£60). Even at that it's too dear for what it is. Yes, the ergonomics are good, it comes well-sharpened, and the blade stock is nice and thin; but for a plastic handle, an impractical pocket-clip and not much steel, the price seems over the top.

I ordered a used version from the warehouse only to discover that some imbecile had swapped out the VG-10 blade for an H1 blade from the Salt version and returned it to Bolo. The size of the H1 is slightly out and they hadn't swapped the back lock or any other hardware so it was a crap finish and was put back together incorrectly.I promptly returned it so be careful when ordering the plain edge version of this knife as you'll probably end up with this same model yourself.

Es una navaja excelente, pequeña, práctica, no asusta a nadie, apenas pesa, el acero de primer orden y con posibilidad de afilado (que tardará en ser necesario). Me gusta más una vez añadido un pequeño cordón al final para que sea más fácil de extraer del bolsillo, corto y con tope final. Pensaba que sería demasiado pequeña cuando me decidí pero según el uso que piensas darle es más que suficiente.

Before Reading the LAST paragraph below, keep POINTS 1-4 in mind regarding configurations:1. DRAGON FLY 2: w/ VG-10 Steel, Plain or Serrated edge: This knife is good for everyone as the steel holds and edge well, and resharpens easily enough, it is also relatively corrosions resistant.2. DRAGON FLY 2: w/ ZDP 189 Steel, Plain edge: FIRST, THIS IS AN EXCELLENT KNIFE: I have not seen it offered in a Serrated edge but they my offer it I am not sure: This knife is ONLY GOOD FOR THOSE WHO ARE EXPERTS AT SHARPENING KNIVES. This steel is extremely hard and holds and edge exceptionally well. The disadvantage is that it takes someone who is a very skilled sharpener to resharpen and work with this steel. It is 3% carbon so it is susceptible to corrosion if not cared for properly.3. DRAGON FLY 2: w/ H1 Steel, Plain or Serrated edge: This knife is good for everyone. This steel is advertised as RUST PROOF. This steel is relatively hard and holds an edge well, and resharpens easily enough.4. DRAGON FLY 2: w/ Aogami Blue Super Steel (Spyderco does Sprint Runs with this metal), Plain or Serrated edge: This knife is ONLY GOOD FOR THOSE WHO ARE EXPERTS AT SHARPENING KNIVES. This steel is extremely hard and holds and edge exceptionally well. The disadvantage is that it takes someone who is a very skilled sharpener to resharpen and work with this steel. It is a high carbon steel so it is susceptible to corrosion if not cared for properly. However. Syperco counters this by sandwiching the Aogami Blue Super Steel between a layer of 420J Steel on each side. This protects the Aogami steel from chipping, breaking, and corrosion. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHOICES. IT DOES TAKE SOME EFFORT TO SHARPEN CORRECTLY AS NOTED ABOVE, BUT THE RESULTS ARE WORTH THE EFFORT!NOW, WRITTEN BELOW ARE MY GENERAL COMMENTS ABOUT THE KNIFE IN GENERAL. THE ABOVE FACTS ARE SPECIFIC TO THE DIFFERENT CONFIGURATIONS OF STEELS AND BLADE TYEPES OFFERED.I am a huge fan of the Spyderco Dragonfly 2 in any of its configurations. This is a smaller knife that does not know it is a smaller knife. Its ergonomics allow it to be used as a larger knife. Its small size allow it to be used as an excellent ED (Every Day Carry). You can take this knife out in public, and because of its smaller size, most people do not generally look at you like you are evil or at looking to do harm to others. This knife has a generous blade and its light weight of 1.1 oz. makes it a joy to carry as you can easily forget that it is even in your pocket. The pocket clip allows for easy deployment and can be switched for left or right carry or you can simply take the clip off and carry it in a pocket. This knife can even be used on a keychain or a neckless due to its light weight. I own many expensive knives, but this relatively inexpensive knife has become on elf my favorite knives. NO MATTER WHICH STEEL YOU CHOSE, THIS KNIVE IS CAPABLE OF EDGES FOR HAIR WHITTLING LEVELS OF SHARPNESS!!!THIS IS AN EXCELLENT KNIFE NO MATTER WHICH STEEL OF BLAKE CONFIGURATION YOU CHOSE. IT IS HARD TO GO WRONG WITH THE PURCHASE OF THIS KNIFE!!!

Compact easy to open and close. I have several Spyderco knives because they are sturdy, easy to obtain a sharp edge and keeps it well. Compact knife with big performance.

The media could not be loaded. Ich bin total begeistert von diesem kleinen Spyderco Messer. Sauber verarbeitet, rasiermesserscharf und von der Haptik einfach genial. Das Dragonfly 2 ist eines der besten leichten und kompakten Taschenmesser. Sehr schöne Klingenform. Neben der Ergonomie bis hin zum Tragekomfort gibt es nichts, was nicht vorbildlich funktioniert. Im Gegensatz zu den billigen China Clonen Null Spiel am Verschluss oder in der gesamten Mechanik. Das Messer ist top verarbeitet und jeden Cent wert.
