I have a KitchenAid classic mixer and wanted the flex beater. I made the mistake of buying a cheaper one, and yes it did fit but didn’t scrape down the bowl as I hoped it would. So purchased this genuine flex beater and it does work, yes you still have to scrape down during mixing but that’s mainly to ensure the mix at the bottom is fully incorporated, but this does scrape the sides lovely when using. Worth every penny. Would recommend

This beater does a very good job, as with most the kitchen attachments, it is pretty much non stick so makes it really easy to clean.

I threw out the balance on my machine using a knock off Nigel and trying to save a tenner, so when I put my original and genuine paddle back on the machine it knocked, bumped and chipped off the paint on the base of it, meaning I now can’t use it for fear of getting paint chips in my batter, so saving that tenner has cost me a new paddle- moral of the story don’t fall for the Nigels.Though why kitchenaid have painted the paddle in the first place is a mystery, a simple aluminium one with no coating would be much better, so only four stars because of that.The paddle works smoothly, it doesn’t get all the batter off the sides ( particularly if you are making something like butter icing) but it is better than the paddle with no rubber spatula at doing this.

Excellent product! No more scraping down the bowl in between mixing. KitchenAid products really are great quality so you know the money you pay is well worth it. Would give it 10 stars in could!

This works really well. Be warned though it also cuts down the time it takes to mix batter significantly, so you may need to adjust recipe times to avoid over mixing.
