Kelo-Cote is a patented topical silicone gel for the management and prevention of abnormal scars in the form of hypertrophic scars and keloids. Kelo-Cote gel self-dries within 4-5 minutes to form a waterproof gas permeable membrane that acts like an extra layer of skin. It helps soften, flatten and smooth raised scars whilst maintaining the moisture balance and elasticity of the adjacent skin. It also reduces discolouration, redness and associated itching, pain and discomfort of scars. Kelo-Cote can be used on flexures, joints and irregular surfaces as well as large scar areas. It can also be used in conjunction other treatment options such as pressure garments. Cosmetics and sun protection can be applied once Kelo-Cote has dried. Kelo-Cote Advanced Formula Scar Gel and Spray are intended for the management of old and new hypertrophic and keloid scars resulting from general surgical procedures, trauma, wounds and burns. After buying this no joke it's gotten rid of my scars or at least nearly. Didn't think it would work but it did. All I do is apply before going to bed a the results are amazing (obviously over time. Like a week or two). I can complain that the price is abit high but if it works then it's not bad to spend abit more for something that will actually work

I was a bit dubious about using Kelo-Cote after having a skin tag removed — I wasn’t sure if it would make much difference. But I’m really glad I gave it a try. The scar area felt smoother, looked less red, and became much less noticeable over time. The gel is easy to apply, dries quickly, and doesn’t leave a sticky feeling, which made it really easy to stick with using it daily. You do need a bit of patience, but it’s definitely worth it. I’ll be reaching for this again if I ever need to care for a scar in the future!

It feels lovely going on and like it's going to do some good.Obviously this is going on scarred tissue so any moisture is good, but it's silky smooth and stays on, albeit shining, for several hours.I can't say it reduced any scars but I didn't do 3 times a day religiously maybe if I had it would.If nothing else it made me feel better that I was doing something to reduce them and you can't underestimate mental wellbeing.Quite costly though for small tube, you don't need a lot and will last a good while, but not using 3 x a day as advised.
