I had been getting a mad expensive Boucleme gel as part of my curly hair routine and to be honest it was a bit hit and miss and the hold wasn’t great. I kept seeing this gel in curly hair forums and so I thought I’d give it a go. It’s brilliant - the hold is much better, it’s still great for SOTC. Lost a star for a slight sticky feeling but once it’s dry that is completely gone. Would recommend to any CGM followers on a budget!

I really struggled to find an excellent alternative to Manga head gel, with most not giving enough hold or being too much like a clay.This isn't Manga head, but it's a good alternative; the initial hold is good for short hair and the dry hold is very robust, lasting you through the day. Easy to use, and the gel isn't thick like a clay or really runny and sits nicely in the middle.
