Simply use as directed and wait 5 minutes for the result which could be negative, positive or strong positive. Hormone levels fluctuate widely so the test may not be completely accurate but it will give a good indication of rising FSH levels which can be indicative of menopause or peri-menopause. It can also be very useful to do such a test prior to visiting a GP particularly if, like me, your GP doesn't seem to believe menopause can happen at 40. Also, having some knowledge of what you're facing can help with any treatment decisions if needed, including the decision re whether to take the HRT route or not.I had a very clear 'strong positive' result on both of my tests. This was later confirmed by an FSH level of 163 by my (reluctant) GP's blood test hence the result was very reliable and consistent for me.This is a recommended purchase for any woman uncertain whether she's approaching 'the change' and it can help explain the cause of the myriad of bewildering symptoms heralding the onset of the menopause.Good value for money, easy to use and as accurate as any FSH test can be.(Not sure why it's listed in the 'Garden and Outdoors' department though....??!!)

We are not sure if these really work its hard to tell. The strips indicated she is but im not so sure , she was nice to me yesterday.

bought this item as was having symptoms when it arrived read the instructions and done test, i couldn't tell if it worked as it didn't make sense, i then went to my gp who told my a test like this couldn't possibly work because menopause is tested by blood not urine!? the item arrived badly packaged too (ripped, torn, squashed). my advice is if you suspect the menopause go to your gp for a simple and accurate blood test.
