5.0 out of 5 stars Very good so far.

    Q.6. · 21 August 2021

As most reviewers stated it’s useless. One pin hole on a soldered joint, which had been heated too much, and the solder had leaked. I cleaned the area with emery cloth, packed it all the way round the joint. Left it overnight. It seemed watertight, but after a couple of hours it’s weeping, so am I after wasting over £5.00. 😢(New review)I decided to give it another go. I scraped away the material where it was weeping, leaving enough to bond a fresh layer. It is two days since I applied the fresh layer and so far no sign of any leakage. The pipe is under mains pressure feeding an outside tap, the leak is on an elbow attached to the tap. The pipe and elbow are just about protruding out of a small hole cut into the house wall, which is an extremely awkward place to get at. I’ll give a five star rating, instead of the original one star rating and see what happens.

Did not stop my leak, could not get the pipe dry enough for the paste to stick to it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn’t work on a leaking hot pipe

    A.S. · 28 January 2025

I have a dual exchanger heating system (HIU) in my flat and one of the copper pipes is rusty and dripping leaking. While I wait for the spare part which seems to be sold out I needed to do a quick temporary fix. The pipe is hot and I am unable to cool it down so this putty doesn’t work. First of all it all breaks down in contact with the humidity of the dripping, and while you are trying to apply pressure and making sure it does not fall apart suddenly it just turns rock solid. The dripping just accumulates and this doesn’t stop it

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for small radiator leak

    H.S. · 12 March 2025

Bought this to seal a pinhole leak in bedroom radiator which it has done. It does require perseverance to get the putty to adhere to the metal particularly when leaking however the secret is to try and force the putty in very small amounts into hole. For this we used a small pea sized piece. Dont use finger to push in as putty will stick to this. Suggest you use some metal and flat to smooth it over the hole. Use tiny amount of paper towel to dry away any moisture seeping out Once first amount applied carefully apply another small piece smoothing it over first making sure you dont lift away first piece. Once dry it sealed it perfectly

Not suitable for the job. I needed to repair a leaky garden tap. This just didnt work at all. Might work for other jobs but not that.

4.0 out of 5 stars It worked eventually.

I used this putty to repair a pinhole leak on a radiator. It was hard at first to get a good seal, it took 4 attempts before I sealed it. You need to press really hard for it to seal and adhere properly around the leak, you need to hold it very firmly for 10 minutes, do this with a small amount of putty no bigger than your finger tip, enough to cover around the leak hole liberally. Slice a piece horizontally to get the right mix of epoxy and putty, not using too much, a little goes a long way with this.
