5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive but works

It's the second time I bought this and the first lot lasted me two years. This time the ants found their way in through a tv cable. Luckily I saw them, ordered this and used it the next day. Ants were gone after a couple of days. It's easy to use and I think, such good value for money even though it's fairly expensive. You don't have to use much and it works from a syringe so there's no leaks. Apparently the ants take it back to the nest and it does its work there.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing
Amazing. Worked first time. Few days later no more ants.
1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't work
Greek ants must be different to British ants! They walked around it and never ate it even when I covered a dead locust with the gel.
I’m on day 12 or 13…

I will update after more time has gone by but I had to write a review so far and I never leave reviews. I live in Texas where we don’t get much rain and we have very hot summers but can get cold in winter. For about 3 years I’ve been complaining to my regular bug guy about these black ants. I’ve not once had them inside my home though. But they get in flower pots. 100s inside pots. This summer I fought them all year. We would spray or put out bait and they just move to a different location or trail. Never did they go away. And I was getting concerned because I’d see them going into areas around my foundation or windows. He told me they were acrobat ants. They are either that or carpenter ants. But you can see in my photos the orange bait he’s been using. He’s even treated my grass. The bait he uses does nothing. Fast forward to the night before I’m hosting my entire family for Christmas. My husband washed off our sidewalks and about 10 hours later I walk into my bedroom to see a massive ant infestation. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. Thousands. Coming under baseboards. Windows. Under the toilet. Creeping up the walls. My floors are wood so I didn’t get a good video of them on the wood. I would clean them up in one area and they would be flooding another wall. They were coming in about 1200 square feet of my home. I freaked naturally as I have 20 people showing up the next day. We did spray some sort chemical outside. It killed a lot instantly. But it was cold. And these ants were in clusters all over my brick. They should not have been moving much this time of the year. They were slow outside. But moved fast inside my home. My photos don’t show the complete infestation. 1000s down along concrete at foundation. Moving slow because it’s cold. I had my bug guy there 10 days before this because I had seen a lot in one window. And around my toilet. In my photos you see the commercial bait he left in the tray. They are not touching it. I put this bait on a card behind the toilet beside his. Just a few ants were out. Within an hour I caught this many feeding. One of my photos shows them feeding on the window corner. So the next morning after I had put this out and my husband sprayed and there were ants dead everywhere. I thought it was from the spray. And maybe it was. But my husband used the leaf blower and blew sidewalks off. After my family left we had ants everywhere again outside dead. In piles. My husband blew it off. The next morning. MORE piles of ants. I’m on day 12. I keep seeing a few here and there in my bathroom. A few in in other areas. But no trails. And what’s weird is I keep finding dead ones. Especially around the toilet. I found about 10 this morning. Cleaned it. Today about 10 more. With 2 or 3 Alive. But I’ve yet to get infested again. I think we have to have a colony in walls or foundation. Notice the orange bait outside. It does nothing but make a mess. I have a regular bug guy.Buy it. My verdict is still out if it gets rid of them entirely. But all I know is I’ve seen massive amounts of dead ants the first two days. My video isn’t great. But this shows all the dead ants the second time we had to clean it up.I’m very impressed. We have tried so many baits. This seems to work. So glad I stumbled across it on Bolo. Do yourself a favor. Buy the bait.
Still works great after being stored 6 years
Originally ordered in 2019 to treat sugar/house ants. The ants enjoyed the treat like it was 1999, then they didn't. Adios. The same kind of ant reappeared in 2025 coming around the frame of a sliding glass door. We dropped a 1/2" and a couple 1/4" beads in their path at about 0430. By 0500 they had all three blobs encircled. At 2000 all three blobs were gone, and so were the ants. (There are no pets or young children so the beads were simply placed in the open on their active trail).Nothing special was done to store the tubes, other than keeping the previously opened tube capped in its original box in a drawer. It was still gel, and it still worked after 6 years of storage. Both treatments together consumed less then a gram of the 120g in the package.
Use all the time
Definitely does the job. I hate ants when they want to come in the house. This keeps them away
Absolute Ant Annhilation
I have to admit. I decided to try this because of the flamethrower review,(if you don't know what I am talking about go back and read it, totally worth the minute or less of your time) he wasn't wrong. I had a horrible sugar/pharaoh/pain in the a.. ant problem. I had been surviving just fine, working from home, taking care of the little ones, I admittedly got a little lax about where I allowed them to enjoy their snacks, and as any parent knows kids are messy....really messy and ants are the epic scavengers of the insect world. So these little buggers found the tasty morsels my sweet toothed spawn left in the nooks and crannies I didn't find. One day there was peace and harmony, the sun shone through the windows...and life was good...the next we were overtaken by a massive army of micro sized immortal specks running across every surface I owned. Nothing and I mean NOTHING I tried would even put a dent in their numbers. Day after day, product after product- squish after squish they came in droves. It got to the point where I almost just handed over the weekly grocery grab to satisfy their insatiable appetite, hoping that if I made such a peace offering they would gladly take the atonement and go away. 30 days, about a box of borax, a pound of sugar and 800 useless ant baits later I turned to the internet and its vast ominous knowledge determined to find something effective that wouldn't also sacrifice myself and my sons in the process. Now my mother, as well meaning as she is, has drank the Terro kool-aid. She swears by the stuff. I never had luck with any of it, but according to her it was the only thing she's ever tried that worked. How I don't know. Especially considering that we share the same roof, do the ants on her side of the house truly gobble that stuff up or has she begun to go blind? Perhaps there is an infestation of advanced ants on the west wing of our establishment where I reside. But one thing I know for sure is this stuff works. Yes, I tried the Terro bait....dare I say my "advanced" ants even laughed at me as they turned up their nose to the gel packs which laid in waiting. I even left them out thinking they needed to ferment to be effective, I waited a week and they remained untouched. Then I came upon the magic of Bolo and the flamethrower review, if I said I didn't read it because I wasn't considering using one I'd be lying to you, but this option was far less cheaper, just as efficient and caused no threat of personal or property damage if you followed the packaging rules. I was hooked. Shipping was speedy. Ease of use? Superb. Why this review is asking me about flavor I can't be sure. But I would give it 5 stars as an ant. I used post it notes as "plates" and placed them out along the ant's favorite spot in the room. As badly as I wanted to wait and see if they came and fell for my trap, I was always told a watched pot never boils so I walked away....but oh man I wasn't prepared for the sight I saw when I came back.....I returned to a thanksgiving FEAST, ants swarming the glob of goo I was ecstatic they actually took it...mid dance I stopped myself....but would it work!? The headline to this review is absolutely true. It was pure euthanization of an entire colony. I set out 2 different "plates" and within 2 days tops there was balance restored within the room. Not an ant in sight, oh there were bodies here and there but no living soul graced the presence of my space, save for myself. It was again quiet and the peace was restored as the sun shone across the floor in the room. It's been a month since that day. And no ant dare set tarsal claw in this room.If you're concerned about the price trust me it's worth it. You get A LOT of product enough that I have even given some away to others in need of such a remedy to their pain. I still have enough to last a lifetime..well mine at least not the ants because once you bust this out they haven't very long...
