Big beautiful John Boos block table
This is a very sturdy table and beautiful wood cutting block for a reasonable price. I oiled it four times with the Boo’s mystery oil and let it absorb into the wood overnight until it would take no more, followed by two coats of the Boo's block board cream with bee's wax. This treatment really brought out the beauty in the wood and should protect it from staining. The appearance in the kitchen is great and functionality even better. It arrived with no damage and assembly was easy with the supplied allen wrench (taped to the bottom of the steel shelf). You may want to have someone help you due to the heavy weight of the parts. It is exactly what I was looking for and I would recommend this to anyone looking for an attractive food prep station in their kitchen.

I've been meaning to let you 'all know, this was a good smart investment! Being kitchen oriented, this table gives me that extra space I crave. Durable, heavy, beautifully functional, with the correct height. The block is smooth tuff heavy maple lovely grain. I put it together myself in about one and a half hours. Bolo provided one Allen wrench which was taped on the bottom side of the metal.Extra tools were a SOFT CLOTH to use for the mallet and a MALLET for pounding and leveling. A LEVEL and a MEASURING TAPE.I would recommend working upside down. Lay the maple board on the floor topside down and work backwards. Tighten the legs enough with the legs all in place, loosely tighten so as to be able to handle and work the shelf into the proper holes leveling height equally around. There was a dent in the side bottom galvanized shelf, I'm not too worried about it. happens! I leveled the metal shelf as I went around tightening just enough at each four corners.. One of the screws was a little off, I managed.I wont say there wasn't a moment or two when I wanted to chuck the entire idea! ha and call someone! But I did it, took my time walked away a few times came back and more progress happened. It was worth it!Other than that, this table works well for someone who has limited cabinets and counter space. I love it! Oh and get the recommended BOOS wood protector oil, it's nice, not gooey or sticky gives the maple a true sheen shine just enough and enhances the grain of the maple nicely.Thanks!
Beautiful piece
The box did come pretty beat up but miraculously very little damage was done to the table. This workbench is even more beautiful then in the pictures. Great value, real quality, fantastic price.
