I have purchased several of these over the years from various sources, not I might add for the same sink, although they do tend to come apart quite quickly. The centre spindle usually separating from the main body of the plug. Super glue will usually solve this problem for a couple of weeks, but then they disintegrate again and the only remedy is a replacement.It is 3 years since I purchased this one, and so far so good. Believe me an armoured car would struggle to last that long in our household. Hence I thought it would be a good time to praise the durability of the item. The plug is actually better made than the original that came with the "Franke" sink. The metal the plug is made of is of a heavier gauge, more robust and the seal works very well.Not a lot more you can say about a Sink Strainer Waste Plug, apart from the fact that if I could get the other members of the family to buy into the concept of how it actually works (push down on the centre spindle to ensure the water stays in the sink. Lift the centre spindle slightly so that the water drains from the sink, but the particles of food are left in the strainer part of the plug rather than allowing them to drain down the U bend. They can then be emptied into the waste bin). Can't complain too much or permanent washing up duty looms.

I rent a property with an ancient small circular sink. Hate the thing but have to use it. The original strainer/plug fell apart and bought a cheap one off an auction site, which was very thin, didn't fit very well and also fell apart within 3 months. Then I was lucky enough to find this one.My waste is 50mm rather than 56mm but it still fits and works very well, Works as a plug keeping water in when I need it to and a strainer letting water out of the sink when I need that.It is very well built, quite heavy and doesn't look like the centre rod will quietly and sneakily unscrew itself (how the cheap one came apart). Very very happy with this purchase, would recommend to anyone. Would have paid twice the price to get a strainer that will work as long as this one will. Have no doubt that its actually better quality than the original.

This works really well in my 80s white plastic sink. I was really pleased because I'm hoping to replace the (ugly) sink soon and didn't want to spend too much money on a new waste plug. My sink has two plug holes, one recessed and one that's flush with the bottom of the sink. In the recessed one, this fits perfectly and is watertight with no problems. In the flush plug hole, it seems to work by gravity, so I have to make sure not to rest anything heavy on one side of the waste plug because that will break the seal. I do have to be a little careful on how I stack up dishes in the sink if I want to soak things, but it quickly became habit and hasn't been a big deal.The only other thing is that the waste plug was covered in thin blue plastic for shipping. While most of this came off easily, a small portion was trapped between the bit that you grab onto and the body of the waste plug, and I still haven't been able to get it off. A minor annoyance but one that shows a lack of thought in the packaging of this product.

The ballbearing that allows this plug to sit above the drain is too high on the pin that sticks down. This means this plug falls all the way into the plug hole instead of sitting above the drain, to allow the water out while catching the bits in the water.It's solid and well made.But unfortunately the product details don't show this, and the image for the product is a single image, not showing this detail.I've ordered a replacement from one of the other manufacturers who do show the position of the ballbearing in their images, so I can pick one that meets the needs of my sink (standard stainless steel UK sink with a fairly deep plug-hole)

The media could not be loaded. Needed a replacement for my kitchen sink and this is perfect, size was accurate, has a really nice polished finish, holds water when pushed down and when pulled up the water drains away brilliantly. Pleased with the quality and price.

My sink is 17 years old so finding this replacement was a challenge! It is an perfect fit, though I must point out, it is slightly too small. I looked at all the items and decided it was worth a try at just over a fiver! It may help for others to know this plug is 80cms. My old plug is 83cms. However the 83cm. plugs are the wrong shape. This plug has a strong and large washer so it holds the water if you want to keep the sink full and lifts easily if you want it empty. The quality is very good indeed and I am delighted with it.

The media could not be loaded. In a fit of tiding up, I put my existing sink plug somewhere safe.well it’s so safe I can’t find it. So having been without a plug for many months, I decided to bite the bucket and purchase one. Got a bit confused re the sidings, but I seem to have got it right. Arrived quickly. Works as described good secure fit and there’s no seepage from the sink when in use.Btw still not found the original plug. Lol

Die Größe des Siebes ist perfekt, nur leider. Könnten wir unten die Länge des Verschlusses nicht durch rausdrehen ändern. Da wir aber noch die alte Stellschraube hatten, war es ok. Gute Qualität.

Je n'ai pas mis de photos parce que la photo de l'article est parfaitement conforme à ce que j'ai reçu. Il s'adapte parfaitement à mon évier et est complètement étanche. Donc, rien à redire si ce n'est que j'en ai commandé 2 autres parce que cette dimension est difficile à trouver ailleurs. Ce qui est important pour bien choisir le bon bouchon de bonde pour son évier, c'est de regarder aussi la forme et l'arrondi du bouchon. C'est ce qui va faire qu'il va être étanche ou pas. Il faut aussi regarder ou est la petite bille pour bloquer la bonde. Il faut qu'elle soit au même niveau que votre panier d'origine de l'évier. C'est ce qui a motivé mon choix vers ce produit et il s'adapte parfaitement.

ce produit "panier plus" m'a été suggéré alors que je cherchais un bouchon décrit exactement comme le mien. J'ai donc opté pour celui-ci, au descriptif plus succinct, mais au prix moins élevé. Il fonctionne parfaitement, et je viens d'en commander un 2e, pour mon autre bac ;)
