My husband bought some birkies last summer and raved about them so I thought I would try them for size. I went for this style as they are "proper" sandals with a heel strap and pretty much identical to the ones I am replacing - only difference is that these have buckles rather than velcro fastenings. I went for a size smaller than what I would normally wear - 38 instead of 39 and they fit perfectly in a roomy, airy kind of way. I would say that my feet are narrow/normal width-wise by the way.I wore them out to town on the first decently sunny day after they arrived and they were comfy straight away - my feet did get a little tired towards the end but I had been wearing them and walking about for about six hours by then. Since then, no problems. I've since snapped up a pair of leather Birkenstock shoes at a bargain price - I'm a convert!

Fits wonderful, never had any problems or blisters with Birkenstock sandals in all my life. Best quality ever for a good price. Never buy any other brand for sandals, Birkenstock is quality made of course in Germany! Very enjoyable for your feet. Thank you!

Very nice and smart, good quality however we're a bit big for me so I gave them to my friend. Shoe (sandal sole) length was fine ok but straps we're a bit big on me.

I absolutely love them and did not have any issues with the size whasoever as I did know from a friend that they came up a bit big. However they do come up about half a size bigger than they actually are. I am a 5.5 and my birkenstock milano size 5 fit me so well. They are amazing shoes, comfortable from day one even if you want to take them on a 5 hour walk fist day! I would recommend them to anyone, £49 very well spent!! :)

I bought these 2 years ago when they were a bit cheaper (cost of living rise UGH) and I have to say that these are worth it. I've worn them constantly during mild weather days and the whole summer season. They've been my go-to "run to the shops" shoes. They've been jammed into suitcases and weekend bags.After 2 years, the soles are wearing thin and there's a slight rip in my back strap, but my god they're still so comfortable. Once these go past the point of repair, I'll have to replace with another pair.

First purchase I made was far too small.I returned them for next size up which were far to long at front of the toes.The feet sit in a cork "tray" with a strange large lip all around.I think they are dangerous as I was always tripping up on the front bit going up stairs - that was until I trimmed about 1.5cm off them!Now I can live with them.I think they a ridiculous design, in appearance and practicality.I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, unless your handy with a hack saw and sand paperThe uppers aren't leather, do not be fooled by the claim, they are an just ordinary plastic simulation

I love my old pair of Birkenstocks because they give great support to my instep. Happily wore them all holiday with no pain whatsoever. Therefore decided to splash out on another pair. Didn't realise how expensive they have become. The pair I have purchased differ in style slightly from my originals but my one complaint is that Birkenstock have been really stingy with the amount of strap offered for ankle and for the 2 over foot straps. This means that whist these sandals ofer excellent instep support, they would probably be of no use to anyone with"puffy" feet (water retention) or with naturally wide feet. Such a shame and can see no logic for it. this is reason why only 3 stars givem

I bought these sandals for my husband, who has struggled over the years to find sandals that fit him properly. He put his foot in the sandal and was in sandal heaven, the way the foot is moulded is perfect for him. He had recently begun to struggle with walking any distance, now he's skipping around like a mountain goat crossing the Alps. No problem with walking for any length of time at all. I only wished I'd bought them for him sooner - however he would only wear cheap, cheap sandals - which these aren't. However they are worth every penny. Even he says so, despite knowing the price! Thank you Birkenstock, we love you!

Este verano, tras mucho pensarlo me compré las Birkenstock de este modelo, que al llevar el talón sujeto son idóneas para conducir. Las he llevado por la calle, a la playa, a la piscina y son comodísimas.Hacen un poco de rozadura los dos primeros días, pero luego ¡No querrás quitártelas!En este caso, merece la pena el precio que pagas por unas sandalias de muy buena calidad y que van a durarte mucho mucho tiempo. Hace unos cuantos años que tengo la versión clásica de las Birkenstock y siguen como nuevas.
