Bits of cardboard inside the brownie mix pouch

When I poured this mix into a bowl, there were pieces of cardboard (thin as wax paper) in the mix. The pieces were nothing like the brownie box itself and just how it got INSIDE the package is beyond me. I guess anything can get in the box at the Ghirardelli Brownie factory. You can't decry China this time, this is made in the USA.

I have been purchasing Ghiradelli TRIPLE chocolate brownie mix for many months. With those orders, I was receiving 5 packages of brownie mix. When I received this order of DOUBLE chocolate brownie mix, I was extremely dismayed to receive only 1 package of brownie mix for a similar price. Complete rip off!!!

I normally bake from scratch, but these Ghirardelli brownies are so delicious and easy that I make my brownies using this mix. The brownies turn out chewy and chocolaty and rich -- perfect straight out of the pan, or with a scoop of ice cream for a heavenly dessert. In fact, when we're having guests for dinner and I am in a hurry, I turn to the Ghirardelli brownies. Everybody always loves them. Nobody would ever guess they are from a mix. You can't go wrong with this product. Be careful and don't overbake them. Leave them a little soft and chewy for the best result. You can also freeze the leftover brownies and defrost and heat them in the microwave. Works great. I keep this mix on hand all the time. You never know when you're gonna need a warm brownie!
