Description:
HIGH5 ZERO is a light and refreshing sugar-free electrolyte drink with zero calories that makes it easy to stay hydrated throughout the day. When you sweat, you lose vital minerals so it’s important that they are replenished. With key electrolytes tablets (sodium potassium magnesium electrolytes) ZERO gives you what water can’t. The magnesium in ZERO contributes to electrolyte balance, whilst also supporting muscle protein synthesis. These hydration tablets with electrolytes are designed to be taken BEFORE, DURING and AFTER exercise and to rehydrate in hot weather. ZERO's scientific formula of electrolytes for water includes Vitamin C to support a healthy immune system, protect cells from oxidative stress and reduce tiredness and fatigue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended for those fasting!
I love these hydration tablets - they've been my saviour since starting intermittent fasting (16/8) 6 weeks ago. My first week of fasting made me feel lethargic with headaches every night during my fast. I also felt hungry and couldn't sleep. I almost gave up fasting until I read about electrolytes, so I purchased these. I've been taking two to three tablets daily, depending on how I feel. I have a Tropical or Berry flavoured tablet dissolved in water to use during 20 to 30-mile Zwift rides/races. During the night (when fasting and feeling hungry), I break up a Berry flavoured tablet to suck on - it tastes great and is similar to Barrat Refreshers. I found that Tropical is the best flavour to use in water followed closely by Strawberry & Kiwi. These two flavours taste too artificial to suck on. Berry is fine in water but improves with a dash of no added sugar berry flavoured squash. These tablets have boosted my performance on the bike (I no longer drink sugary Lucozade) and have irradicated headaches, lethargy and hunger pangs before bed.I'm starting my 7th week of fasting and 15lbs down with another 15-20lbs to go. I've struggled with weight for the past 20 years and tried every diet going. Fasting is the only diet (or I should call it a lifestyle) that works, and these tablets are a must for this new way of life.Update (6th June 2021): I've now lost 25lbs (11.3kg) since 14th March, and that includes a recent weeks holiday filled with plenty of beer and food (with desserts). I can't quite believe how fasting has transformed my body, and these tabs have been a key part of this process. I've gone from XL t-shirts to Medium and have never been happier! I plan to have a six-pack by August. :)Update (24th September 2021): I've lost 35lbs (2.5 stone), reaching my goal weight back in mid-August. I'm now working on body recomposition to get more definition with weight training, less cardio, more protein (supplementing with Myprotein Impact Whey Protein shakes), and lowering carbs (but not cutting them out). I just had a big bowl of lasagne with garlic bread :). I'm still fasting roughly 16 hours (between 8 pm and 12 pm) as it's a way of life for me, and I still use these tabs daily for exercise and fasting. I eat two meals a day with the occasional sweet treat and a few beers down the pub. I have never tracked food intake from day one but have a good understanding of nutrition and macronutrients. I used to eat a big bowl of porridge for breakfast, but now I have a big 4-egg omelette stuffed with ham, mushroom, and cheese with half a tin of baked beans. I'm no longer weighing myself daily since reaching my goal weight but keep myself in check with the trusty tape measure.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Tick from ME! 😆 But use a Straw & Protector Tooth Enamel!
I’m at the stage where we need to question EVERYTHING. So I asked ChatGBT & copied & pasted the list of ingredients.Listed below if you’d like to read. The main points I took was tooth enamel erosion. So I will make sure I will drink through a straw from now on. Steel or glass straw of course. Not plastic! And, over consumption can lead to electrolyte imbalance! Ironically. Which might be because when we take a supplement the body eases off making it? That’s a guess that just came to me…My & my son really enjoy these & it’s better than Pepsi… which kills our valuable gut Microbiome… then us as most did-ease starts in the gut. Upside down & back to front it reads isded for a reason… not to mention the nano particles they’re putting in it for our brain… thanks Microsoft for partnering with Pepsi & Coca Cola! Thanks for listing the full ingredients — let’s go through them carefully one by one. None of these jump out as directly carcinogenic, but some may have potential downsides depending on dosage, sensitivity, or long-term use.⸻Breakdown of IngredientsAcidity Regulators (Citric Acid, Malic Acid)• Generally safe — naturally occurring in fruits.• Can cause dental enamel erosion in excess or when consumed frequently in drinks.Sodium Bicarbonate• Baking soda. Safe in small doses.• Overuse may upset electrolyte balance.Firming Agent (Sorbitols)• A sugar alcohol. Generally safe, but in high amounts can cause bloating, gas, and diarrhea.Magnesium Carbonate, Calcium Carbonate• Mineral sources, commonly used as antacids or calcium/magnesium supplements. Safe at reasonable intake levels.Sodium Citrate, Potassium Citrate• Used for regulating acidity and electrolytes. Safe in moderate use.Natural Flavourings• Generally considered safe, though “natural flavour” is a broad label.Beetroot Concentrate, Black Carrot Concentrate, Curcuma (Turmeric) Powder• Plant-based colourings/extracts. Safe, and may even have antioxidant/anti-inflammatory benefits.L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)• Essential vitamin. Safe in most doses, though very high intake can cause digestive upset.Leucine• An essential amino acid. Safe and beneficial, especially for muscle metabolism.Green Tea Leaves Extract (Camellia Sinensis)• Usually beneficial (antioxidant, metabolism support).• Very high concentrated extracts (especially in supplements) can stress the liver in rare cases.Sodium Chloride• Table salt. Fine in moderation, but too much increases blood pressure risk.Sweetener (Sucralose)• Artificial sweetener. Extensively studied.• Not considered carcinogenic, but high intake may disrupt gut microbiome in some people, and there’s some debate about long-term metabolic effects.⸻Potential Concerns• Sucralose: not a proven carcinogen, but long-term metabolic/gut effects are still debated.• Sorbitol: harmless but can cause digestive upset in excess.• Green Tea Extract: safe in small doses, but very concentrated extracts have been linked to rare liver issues.• Acidity Regulators: can erode teeth if consumed frequently.⸻✅ No ingredient here is classified as carcinogenic.⚠️ The main watchpoints are artificial sweetener (sucralose), sugar alcohols (sorbitol), and concentrated green tea extract, depending on sensitivity and dosage.⸻
4.0 out of 5 stars Seems effective, portable, no added sugar rehydration on the go
We have started adding this to our water bottles when we are in hot countries - and that increasingly counts as the UK - and doing sport. It's hard to say if it works but put it like this, we've avoided headaches and other dehydration symptoms since we've been using it. It dissolves very fast and you can break the tablets into halves or even less. The downside for me is that it isn't the nicest taste, even with the flavours. MUCH nicer than Diarolyte, thank goodness - and I don't know if this is wise, but I sometimes add a dash of no added sugar cordial too. The main draw is that, unlike Lucozade etc, this has no added sugar and is SO easy to take on holiday, out walking, jogging etc
5.0 out of 5 stars Works well and improves hydration with the urge to drink loads of water.
Very good. I only have the citrus tablets. Usually 1 or 2 in 1/2 a litre of water. Tastes ok like a lemomy drink and the electrolytes really do work.I've noticed at the climbing gym that I feel much more hydrated without the urge to drink loads or water. I usually drink an hour before the gym and then during the work outs. It really works. Would recommend trying it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Helpful for dehydration and taste pleasant.
I do long distance audax rides. These typically are around 200km and involve around ten hours in the saddle. I did used to find recovering from these took a few days and often on the night after the ride I was often unable to sleep very well which I partly put down to dehydration. Adding these tablets to my bottles instead of using plain water seems to have made a positive difference which muscles aching a bit less on the last few rides I have done whilst using them. The flavours are not overpowering and actually make hydrating a pleasant experience.
