After 25 Years of heavy Smoking I quit it now for over a year, due to health problems. I had to give it up, there was no other choice for me. I went to the Pharmacy here in Northern Germany where I live, and bought the strongest Nicotin patches and Chewing Gum from nicorette. The patches worked very well against the Craving, and the gums held me busy and substituted the Smoking of the cigarettes.But in Germany there are only two kinds of nicorette chewing gum: Fruit and Freshmint. In my opinion they taste like normal chewing gum. The Freshmint flavoured gums are so very fresh, just like a normal Wrigley's Spearmint Gum. Than I first ordered the Nicorette Original 4mg from the UK and what a different taste was that! They are strong, just like a little strong feeling in the throat. Of cause Nicotin chewing gums are never as strong like Nicotin patches, but every time I have the feeling for a cigarette, and this is still very often, I chew the gums.I used the patches for about 6 weeks, and since then I am chewing these Gums. It's a long time, but it is better for me than beginning to smoke cigarettes again.Nicorette Original is my favourite, but 'Nicorette Mint'Nicorette Chewing Gum 4mg Mint - 105 Pieces is also good, because it is a very soft mint, and not so very minty, icy, fresh like Nicorette Freshmint.I think Nicorette Chewing Gum Original 4mg is the best for Ex-Heavy Smokers like me.

We admittedly didn't mean to buy this in 'original' flavour, we thought it was mint! So not sure if this is a truly fair review. However, the original taste, quite frankly tastes horrendous, and what a horrible experience it is chewing these!We really wanted to give nicorette chewing gum a go, and I just think it's not for us. At first, it's okay - but as soon as the nicotine hit's, it's far too overwhelming at the back of your throat - to the point where it feels like your being smacked in the throat (it's hard to describe the sensation!). After prolong use, you do get 'somewhat' (putting that mildly) used to the sensation - but, it's just not enjoyable what so ever. We felt we had to mainly keep the piece of gum placed in our cheek, chew once, and continue to be able to stomach the sensation and I know this is part of the process of what your suppose to do - but it's not natural for a chewing gum.**It does work.. you don't crave cigarettes or vaping, you are intaking nicotine afterall. But, it doesn't feel like they've mastered the formula here what so ever!!Would perhaps try it again in mint or any other flavour apart from this! maybe it helps the experience better?Really annoyed as, yes - you get a good value for your money with this pack. But, 95% of the package is going to waste now.
