We have a heat lamp / fan unit installed in our bathroom that was originally connected to mains plugs in the attic, each on a control socket to allow the lamps / fan to be individually controlled. The remote control had always been temperamental even with a fresh battery, so we finally decided to replace the remote control sockets and went with this set.These remote control sockets require programming, which is very straight forward - Plug in the first remote control socket and press the desired "On" button on the remote, then repeat for the second and third. Despite what the manual says, the remote control sockets don't lose their memory when unplugged, during power outages, etc. They can be reprogrammed by holding the button on the socket until the LED lights, then push the new desired "On" button to change to. The remote has 4 On/ Off controls, so a fourth socket can be added and it's also possible to programme multiple sockets to a single ON / Off number, which may be useful for turning on/off multiple lamps, Christmas light sets, etc. together.To test the range, I placed a socket in one corner of the house connected to a lamp and walked away one room at a time to see how far away it could control the lamp. To my surprise, it had no problem operating at the opposite end of our 4 bedroom bungalow! Even our centrally positioned Wi-Fi router requires extension nodes to reach the end bedrooms. For comparison, our previous remote control socket struggled to operate from directly below through the ceiling, which this new kit has no problem.The only minor issue we noticed is the remote control sockets are too wide to fit side by side with most power strips. To use all 3 on a single power strip would require a 5 or 6 outlet power strip, each plugged in alternating sockets.

This product is not to keep you sat on the sofa, rather it allows remote mains isolation ih hard to get to locations around the home such as behind the TV cabinet etc. Anyone suffereing from back problems would also find this unit very helpful to save bending to wall sockets. I found it very easy to set up and use. The operating rane is good enough to work from upstairs to downstairs i.e. you can remotely switch of the TV arial amp, modem or any other divice that is normally powered downstairs that may be in use whilst upstairs.A very practical product. Recommended.

I prefer to switch electronics off when not in use, so I got these for my Chromecast and NowTV box, with one spare. Now I can turn them on and off easily from the comfort of my chair, no more bending to contend with individual physical socket switches!I bought this because it was the only remote control socket on sale on Bolo where they included a photo showing where the prongs were at the back. It's where you'd expect, i.e. the bit that sticks out is above the single top prong, but I didn't want to assume! I have limited space in my setup so I needed to know exactly where the prongs at the back were in relation to the long bit that sticks out.Very easy to set up. The indicator bulb on the relevant socket lights up red very clearly (not some tiny dim glow) when that socket is on, and there's a satisfying haptic click when you press the remote button. So it's all very clear and usable.Tip: if you assign a socket to the wrong button on the remote, there's no need to reset things completely. Just go through the setup process again, this time pressing the correct button on the remote.The remote can control 5 sockets in total so in future I may get more.

Bought these because I actually saw them elsewhere and of course, I had to check whether faithful old Bolo sold it and (of course) they did and at a cheaper price. It's a great invention. I bought a couple of lamps that don't have the usual convenient switches that control whether it's on or off so spotted these and thought perfect to control via these sockets. Let me tell you, they worked perfectly even from behind a cupboard or through obstructions such as doors! It's simple to setup.... you just need to plug one of these devices in a socket, ensure you've inserted the small batteries that is complimentary in the remote control, wait for the device to flash its red lighting, press the remote control for about 4 seconds or until the lights flash quickly then your unit is programmed for any item you plug into the socket. I love it so far but you just need to be careful that if you've programmed a few of these, ensure you don't accidentally enable another as it's super sensitive and you may unwittingly activate an electrical item in another room!

This is a really good and helpful product.I got one originally just to try for a standard lamp due to injury to my shoulder I was struggling to hit the switch down the side of my chair and this made it so easy. Now I just press on or off from the comfort of my chair.Then came Christmas and I realised that more would be helpful to be able to turn the Christmas lights on and off without having to get on the floor and be attacked by baubles from the tree.The good thing is that you can pair more then one socket to the remote, and just use the different numbers for the different items. So you don't need multiple remotes.This really has helped me and I would definitely recommend. Good quality and they can be used in an extension lead which is a bonus. Very easy to set up and use too.

Es steht nicht in der Beschreibung, aber Stecker und Steckdose beide UK, kein Euro! Ob es gut funktioniert oder nicht, konnte ich leider nicht ausprobieren... Die Fernbedienung braucht zwei LR44 (inklusiv), was ich nicht so gut finde, weil die normalerweise schnell leer werden.
