I first bought this album on vinyl way back in 1981,it is still as catchy as ever. To me every track could have been a chart success. I really like Stranger In Nevada {you can imagine the atmosphere} also Southern Boys,Jelly Roll,Back Here In Boston. The extra tracks enhance this cd. I wore out the original looks like I will do the same with the cd. Matchbox {I think} are still going strong.

The CD was fine, I used to have it on vinyl and I think it sounded more meaty, I think on CD it sounds a bit too sharp and crisp

Amazing English Rockabilly album from my childhood days. I spent many many happy hours playing along to the vinyl version and wore it out... hopefully the CD will last longer! ;-)

Matchbox's follow up to their first Magnet self named album. More mainstream than previously and containing their highest charting single "When You Ask About Love". Some great Steve Bloomfield originals like the title track, plus "Checking Out", "Sweet Lolita" and "Stranger In Nevada" (a surprise instrumental). Gordon Scott's version of "Marie Marie" is far superior to the hit version by Shakin' Stevens and Graham Fenton's vocals on the other tracks, such as "C'mon Let's Go", "Southern Boys" and "Sixteen Chicks" are superb! Get your copy now!

loved it this album back in the day, and recently found again, is great playing this in the car on a long trip,bring back memories, rockabilly old school :)

Midnite Dynamo's is a more slick, commercial album than their previous self titled album. The singles that they released from the album, 'When you ask about Love' and 'Midnite Dynamo's' were definately for the more 'bubblegum rock n roll' orientated fans. Nice to see some of the B Sides from the singles added to the CD. I purchased the cd for a nostalgia trip as i owned the original album back in 1981, but i must admit that i still prefer their previous release 'Matchbox'.If you prefer the (less commercial) 50s style rockbilly Matchbox, then i would think twice about buying this one - don't get me wrong there are a couple of reasonably half decent tunes on this cd, namely 'Sixteen Chicks' and 'Back Row Romeo' but they are few and far between.

Matchbox – Midnight Dynamos (Expanded + Remastered)Dieses 1980 erschienene Album von der britischen Gruppe Matchbox,ist für mich das beste Studioalbum von dieser großartigen Rockabilly Band.Meine LP von 1980,ist doch sehr in die Jahre gekommen und brauchte daher Ersatz.Auf Schallplattenbörsen konnte die LP erstanden werden,im Handel war sie jahrelang verschwunden.Jetzt endlich ist wieder neu erschienen,als CD mit Bonustracks.Die Mischung aus Rock’n’Roll und teilweise Westernmusik (Jellyroll, Southern Boys und Stranger in Nevada) erinnert an ein Lebensgefühl und einen Stil der fünfziger und sechziger Jahre in Amerika.Man möchte am liebsten, mit fünf Freunden,in einem alten offenen Cadillac einsteigen und die Route 66 langbrettern.Direkt der erste Song Midnight Dynamos ist wohl der Hit, mit dem die Band in Deutschland durchstartete und dieser ist auch mein Favorit.An die Bonuslieder muss ich mich erst einmal gewöhnen,die LP hörte nach Track 13 auf.Track(15)Scotted Dick(16)You’ve made a fools of me,(18)Don't Break Up The Party Stay Cool, passen sehr gut zum Album.Die Zusammenstellung auf diesem Album ist sehr abwechslungsreich und es wird nie langweilig zu hören.

Boitier défectueux.
Tout a fait satisfait au niveau musical. Je connais ce groupe depuis plus de 30 ans donc je savais que je n'allais pas être déçu quand au contenu du disque.Par contre une nouvelle fois le boitier est abîmé au niveau de la fixation centrale du CD d’où la note moyenne. C'est d'autant plus surprenant car l'emballage était de très bonne qualité. Très bonne protection et pas abîmé. J'en déduis que le boitier était déjà cassé au moment de la préparation de la commande. C'est vraiment dommage car ce n'est pas la première fois
