Used these on a 2 day hillwalking and camping trip. Very filling and tasty, especially the chicken korma

First impression on opening pack was - Looks a little like dried dog food - and how long do I leave it in water for before eating ?, the pack just says 'for a while'. someone here said around 10 minutes though.Taste was a little bland but otherwise quite edible. Perhaps it was bland because it was meant to be healthier and so maybe not much salt was added. Thats my impression because it was better after adding salt. I could eat this on a camping trip just fine, probably choose a tin of something instead at home though.It came out a like a stew, which is fine. Overall,it was decent enough and good for emergencies. Provided you have hot water of course.

I like how light they are. I like that they are high in calories. I like how durable the packet is. And I like the variety. This hot pot is the only one I've not been as impressed by, but I would buy it again and use less water and stir it more often. A little high maintenance compared to the rice ones that's all.

Unless you are on an expedition, these can be double serving. They are excelent, tasty and does not play with your body :-)

Did not intend to eat it yet but got stuck in the middle of nowhere on the boat so put the kettle on and had lunch, It certainly was as tasty as expected, too much for lunch so tipped the rest in the river and binned the bag et-voila no washing up.

Tastes as you would expect. Neither good nor bad, just calories for the next day. Be careful to read the front of pack as amount of water to add is written in small print!

It might be ok for someone going on a survival expedition,but I have an ilesotomy bag/Crohn's Disease and it may have been an unwise choice for me to buy this. One word: heartburn. Also none of my feline friends would touch it. (and I have a lot of them...to be honest it reminded me of dog food)
