Bought this as one of the ingredients to make slime with because we were told thats what people use ha ha it doesn’t work, so now I will use it for cleaning instead!

If you’re from the UK trying to make slime don’t buy this!! It’s a borax substitute not actually borax (it comes as bicarbonate of soda) due to the fact that they don’t import borax to the UK. This will not come as borax and it won’t activate your slime, trust me I made the mistake. You’re better off buying contact lens solution from here for a fiver. Hope this helps :)

I got this mainly for cleaning mould and mildew from the walls around windows. It has very little odour and is a natural alternative to using bleach based mould cleaners which have a strong smell and you don't want to be breathing too much in. It did clean the mould quite well really. I used a fairly concentrated solution with water. It did leave some stains behind, that a bleach based product would have also removed.You can mix a paste for cleaning stubborn stains it said on the box, but I tried this and it doesn't fully disolve as a paste and is therefore quite gritty and not what I needed for the wall and ceiling around our windows, but probably quite good if your wanted a bit of abrasion to scour something.You can also use a third of a box dissolved in a bucket of water to pretreat stained clothes by soaking them before washing. The Dri-Pak website gives further tips and even videos showing how to use their products. It also suggests you can make bath salts with borax substitute and a perfume and colouring. It must be quite mild on your skin because the box only suggests wearing gloves if you have sensitive skin. The website says that as a cleaning product it is more gentle than soda crystals and stronger than bicarbonate of soda.A useful natural cleaner to have in stock.
