Great heavy duty chain and lock. The ground anchor plate is very sturdy and the ball bearings to tap into the hexagonal sockets are very good.Excellent quality overall.

For such a basic device I was surprised that this ground anchor was granted a diamond rating at such a good price.

I had no problems installing this as per the video instructions on the product page. Used an SDS 10mm drill bit to make the pilot hole and a 16mm for the main hole. The bolts went in the hole with no problems - I handled them delicately but did not experience any of the problems some reviewers describe. I tapped them in with a rubber mallet to get them flush. Whole process took 15 - 20 mins and I was taking my time with it. It appears to be a very heavy duty item, and while I have not doubt that a thief with professional tools would get through this if given the time, but the reality is that the effort required would be prohibitive and that they would look for easier pickings elsewhere. Sold Secured diamond so the insurance is all valid anyway. Great price in comparison to other products too.

This will do the job I have in mind, which is to secure a bike in the garage and it is much cheaper than some of the alternatives I have looked at. It is a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be, but that suits me fine as it will make fitting the bike lock easier. However, I'm not very impressed with the tamper-proof bolts. It turns out that they are just ball bearings that you hammer into the bolt to prevent anyone undoing them with an allen key. Problem is that includes me, so once I have hammered in the ball bearings the thing is fixed for ever. Maybe that's why other products are more expensive.

Prodotto eccellente, ottimo deterrente. Come tutti i buon deterrenti ci vuole tempo per metterlo fuori uso. Per tagliarlo ci vuole il flessibile (tempo e rumore). Per staccarlo dal muro idem, non c'e spazio tra il muro e le placche delle viti, e le viti vengono ricoperte da delle sfere di acciaio che martellate si schiacciano e ne impediscono la rimozione.Abbinato ad una buona catena...rimane tutto dov'è.Unico neo i tasselli in dotazione non vanno bene per i muri forati, in questo caso consiglio un buon tassello chimico.

Sirve perfectamente para lo que lo compré, que es para dejar mas segura una bicicleta. Lo anclé al suelo y caben perfectamente al mismo tiempo un candado en "U" que va a la rueda trasera de la bicicleta y un antirrobo articulado tipo pitón que llega al cuadro. Las bolitas de acero que tapan la cabeza de los dos tornillos parecían de un diámetro ligeramente mayor al hueco de la cabeza del tornillo y no entraban del todo aunque les di con un mazo, así que aunque parecía difícil sacarlas (porque al quedarse en esa posición se quedan ajustadas al hueco y no queda espacio para meter un punzón) les eché un poco de "supertite" para ponérselo algo mas complicado a los ladrones. En mi caso otro candado en "U" une la rueda trasera con el cuadro y otro tipo pitón une la rueda delantera con el cuadro y así queda inmovilizada para poder pedalear aunque no esté anclada al suelo. Material de buena calidad y grueso. Recomendable.

Nachdem ich knappe 30 Minuten am ersten Stirling-Anker herumgebastelt und dabei die mitgelieferten Dübel zerlegt und wieder kunstvoll zusammengesetzt hatte, war ich geneigt, dem Stirling-Anker 3 Punkte in seiner Rezension zu geben und mir das ungleich teurere Konkurrenzprodukt mit dem Aufdruck „Made in Germany“ zu bestellen. Tatsächlich aber wäre das nicht gerechtfertigt, sind doch die Probleme beim Einbau allein auf meine beschränkten handwerklichen Fähigkeiten und gleichzeitig mein rudimentäres Englisch zurückzuführen. Daher mein Tipp: Vergesst die Instruktion. Hier die Anleitung in Kurzform – auspacken, Schraube rausdrehen, 16er Loch bohren, Dübel so wie sie sind mit dem Hammer in die Wand ballern, Anker festschrauben, bis es knirscht. Fertig. Das eigentliche Teil macht einen massiven Eindruck, mag sein, dass die doppelt so teuren Anker einem Diebstahlversuch länger trotzen. Schweres Gerät bräuchte der Dieb in jedem Fall, zumal das Herausschrauben der Sechskantinnenschrauben ja mit den kleinen Stahlkugeln im Kopf erschwert wird. Die Statistik sagt, dass der größte Teil der Zweiraddiebstähle spontan erfolgt und von der Unaufmerksamkeit der Zweiradbesitzer profitiert. Gegen einen Langfinger mit Flex und Schweißbrenner im Rucksack wird auch der Stirling-Anker wenig bewirken. Für alle anderen bedeutet er aber einen Mehraufwand, der im Zweifel doch abschreckend wirkt. Schließlich positiv: Der Querschnitt des Stirling-Ankers ist so groß, dass er auch schwere Ketten aufnimmt. Fazit: 5 Punkte.
