One is right at the base where the counter box is. So you twist it there as well as half way up the pipe.The counter is quite accurate comparing it to a tape measure. But I think it depends on the flatness of the ground because if its bumpy up and down this will prob affect the reading. And would probably saynits fine for rough measurements but not very precise ones.It says centimeters and meters that it counts. The cm is counted in every 10cm. So 1 would be 10cm and 2 would be 20cm etc. So it's only capable of measuring every 10cm and not every cm.The total length from base of wheel to top of handle is 1 meter. Plenty long enough.The wheel is quite small but was fine for concrete footpath.

For occasional, smallish projects on fairly even ground, this is an excellent, lightweight, no-nonsense tool, that's very affordable compared to those for professional market. I note on one of the reviews a guy mentioned it is too short - but please note the it extends at the two plastic screw joints - ie there are three sections of tubing - giving the handle a fully extended length of approx 1 metre; which should be a good length for most people. Has a simple, manual push button to zero the counter.

This measuring wheel has a telescopic handle that screws tight to lock in place when extended. It works a treat and for the price is a very good buy. The other benefit of a telescopic handle is that is packs away small enough to fit into my daughters training bag!Bargain buy.

Bought one of these to do some surveys for work as I was having to walk between lots of locations during the day so it had to fit in my backpack. Was sceptical at first but once I started using it, it was very good. It's lightweight enough you can carry it around all day without an issue. It's telescopic and very easy to extend (twist the handle to loosen it, extend it then twist back to tighten it up) and very quick to pack away again. Seemed very accurate as checked the first few measurements with my laser measure.

This product is a total waste of money. Made of flimsy materials, it really does not do what it's meant to. The wheel is plastic, which does not get enough traction to turn on any surface I have tried it on, especially outside on tarmac. As this is the most obvious place to use it (I needed it to measure road dimensions etc for accident reports) it really does render this product USELESS. Also, the telescopic handle it only suitable if you are 4 foot tall, and that is only if it doesn't coome off in your hand, which it did for me the first time I extended it.

Piccolino, piccola la ruota, cortino il manico ma per me che sono 1.80 non è malissimo. Funziona bene e ripetendo più volte una misura sui 100 m sbaglia di 10-20 cm, ottimo. Conta avanti e indietro, davvero vale il (poco) che costa.
