I remember a game called "taboo" where you had to convey a word to your "team" without using a number of forbidden works - really excellent. This is similar except more suitable for using with kids. There is a simple carry case for the cards which varies how many forbidden words there are - for instance my husband and I have 4 forbidden works (making it harder for us) - my 10yr has 3 forbidden words (so a bit easier) and our 8yr has only 2 forbidden words so it evens out well. An excellent game which is fun and makes you think.

Absolutely loved playing this with the kids, so much so the adults played twice more after.Only reason i gave 4 star not 5 was from an adult point of view it got easier as the words to describe came round really quick and we remember the answers.Would love to find another pack of words to play with.Otherwise brillient all round game and funny watching the kids describing words without using certain words.I highly recommend.

THIS IS A FAB GAME, INSIDE THE BOX YOU GET A LARGE STACK OF DOUBLE SIDED CARDS, A CARD HOLDER, A BUZZER, A SMALL PAD OF SCORE SHEETS & PENCIL.THE AIM OF THE GAME IS TO DESCRIBE THE WORD ON YOUR CARD TO YOUR TEAM MATES WITHOUT USING ANY OF THE 4 FOUR WORDS LISTED, YOU START THE BUZZER/TIMER WHICH GIVES YOU 60 SECONDS TO GUESS AS MANY WORDS AS YOU CAN.I WOULD SAY THE RULES ARE NOT VERY SPECIFIC AS TO WHETHER YOU CAN USE SENTENCES BUT I GUESS ITS ADAPTABLE, WE PLAYED WITH MY 10 YEAR OLD AND 4 YEAR OLD AND THEY LOVED IT.ITS A GREAT WAY TO GET CHILDREN TO USE OTHER WORDS AND EXTEND THEIR VOCABULARY, I’VE BEEN RECOMMENDING THIS TO EVERYONE :D

I bought this as a fun family game to play. It looked interesting and fun. You pick up a card and within a time limit with an interesting buzzer to end you must get your team to say the word without saying particular words. Unfortunately there were a few flaws. It was very easy and did not prove much of a challenge. It is definitely not for older children or adults. I believe it would be fun and educational up to around age 8 but that would probably be the limit. As it is soo easy we got through all the cards quickly and ended up on repeats making it even easier. The overall concept of the game is good but they should either change the suggested age or include harder cards.The box - Looks fun and interesting. A nice size, making it fit well into our games cupboard. It displayed the age six plus which is clearly wrong. I would give the age range about 5-12 with little educational value for age 8+. However it wasn't bought for education but for fun so I think it would still apply up to age 12.The gameplay - Very fun at first but very easy. We soon finished the pack of cards and couldn't really continue as we remembered the repeats. It meant the game was unplayable for a while as we would remember answers. The concept of the game is excellent but if you intent to play with adults or teenagers I would not recommend. An adult version would be a good idea.

Bought for Christmas games with grandchildren ages 5,7,7,10. Essentially a simplified version of the equivalent adult one. One person tries to describe the word for others to guess.All had fun and It worked well (with some assistance for the 5 year old of course ! ) Nice feature is the cards have graded from easier to more difficult words for them to try, appearing in the plastic window cut outs of the card stack

Absolutely love playing this game with my children so much that I have purchased it for my nieces this Christmas. Its a nice simple game with easy to follow rules. It gets them thinking. Great fun for all the family

Excellent game, very family friendly, lots of fun for young and old. Buzzer a little on the noisey side would like to have option to turn the volume down a little. Other than that, the perfect gift! Excellent value for money. Good easy to follow game.
Hidden keywords make you loose!
The game is more difficult than I thought. You need a fair knowledge of words to compete. (A2+)Keywords are hidden, and you must explain the word without using the -for you- unknown keywords.It is a great game for in the classroom.Positive are the three build in levels.
Gioco molto utile per far palrlare i bimbi in inglese.
sono un insegnante di inglese e uso questo giorno con i miei studenti. Non tutti gli studenti lo amano perchè comuqnue non è un gioco facile a cui giocare. Ma è molto utile per iniziare ad avere un minino di padronanza alla lingua

tres bon jeux pour pratiquer son anglais ( differents niveaux de carte), mais il faut retirer les piles du buzzer pour eviter qu'il marche alors qu'il est dans la boite.Je conseille ce jeu.
Tolles "Tabu-Spiel" auf Englisch. Ab 10 Jhren zu empfehlen.
Super Spiel mit Kindern in der Gruppe. Durch das Umschreiben müssen des gesuchten Wortes, fördert das Spiel die englische Ausdrucksweise. Lustig und nur zu empfehlen für Kinder ab ca. 10 Jahren.
