Reviews:
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to heat up and use, leaves skin less irritated than other wax products, excellent at removing all hair from the roots.
The Veet Essential Oils and Floral Vanilla Warm Wax was delivered very fast and arrived well packaged. This is the only variety of warm wax I have been using for a number of years now. For some reason, there isn't much choice in the UK shops when it comes to warm wax (unlike in other countries on the continent) and from my experience this is the best I've tried from what is available. I am always tempted to stock up on other products (including other Veet warm waxes) when I am travelling abroad but for some reason I find it hard to choose and knowing this product works so well I stick with it.I never used hair removal creams because I totally dislike the very strong chemical ingredients. Over the years I have tried all sorts of root hair removal products, including home made sugaring paste and other brands of warm wax, hair removing gel like paste and other varieties of warm wax from Veet. This particular warm wax from Veet works best for me, it is mess free, quick and easy to heat up, easy to apply and remove and, most importantly, it works very, very well at removing hair from the root. Other Veet warm waxes were also good but I was unable to find them anywhere over the last few years so maybe they simply don't sell in the UK anymore.I use warm wax to treat underarms (except in the summer when I shave), bikini line all year around and upper lip hair on a very seldom basis (maybe once a year when I get the impression that I cans see some hair in a particular light). On this basis, a jar of this wax lasts me an entire year. I usually buy this product from a boots store. For some strange reason, this summer I could not find warm wax in any of the shops nearby (pharmacies, supermarkets, any Boots etc) so I made my purchase from Bolo. I am glad I did because the price was lower than in the shops (usually warm wax is not cheap although for my consumption it works out at good value over the year) and delivery was super fast. The product comes in a large microwave proof tub with a removable foil seal under the screw top lid. There is also an instructions leaflet and a package of sealed 12 paper removal strips. You can purchase spare strips when you run out (just search on Bolo). The strips included are just the right size for treating the legs area and can be easily cut to size for smaller treatment areas. They can be used multiple times during the same treatment session and then they will be discarded.I also rely on my own cotton strips which work equally well. I cut long strips of fabric from a good quality white cotton bed sheet which I no longer need (it has to be a good quality thicker fabric of pure cotton). I only need to do this once every ten years because I get a huge supply of strips from one bed sheet and it takes me half an hour. Cut one edge of the sheet at equal intervals of different sizes which would become the width of the cotton strips. I make standard widths and thinner ones about half of the standard width so I have two sizes. Then simply tear with your hands all the way to the other end of the sheet. You end up with loads on long strips of two different widths. Stack them up and cut across to the required length. You end up with loads of spare cotton strips which are excellent for wax removal. I use a number of these for each treatment then I soak them in warm water and rinse the used wax very quickly, then put them in a zipped netting bag and wash in the washing machine. They dry in no time, I flatten them by hand and store them away clean for next time and these can be reused many times. To use the wax you need to heat it up so it softens and becomes runny and it can be spread over the desired area. The quickest way is to melt the wax in the microwave and there are easy to follow instructions inside the box for how to do this. Alternatively, place the pot in a small pan of water. the water must be no higher than the level of wax in the pot. As the water boils, the wax inside the pot will start melting. When the wax starts melting, carefully stir the wax with the wooden spatula included with the product to get an even distribution of heat. You will be able to tell when all the wax has melted because it will become malleable and even in consistency throughout. Both methods are easy and you must check the temperature of the wax before using it. The wooden spatula has a temperature indicator painted on one end and this will show the word 'No' if the wax is too hot. Double check with a small patch test on the back of your hand also to make absolutely sure the wax is not too hot.Use the spatula to apply the wax. It is very well shaped to follow the contours of all application areas. I would recommend applying less rather than more wax at a time because it would be easier to control and remove. Also a thinner layer of wax, will make it easier to re-use the removal paper strips over again.Apply the paper strip immediately whilst the wax is still soft and press gently in the direction of hair growth then pull the paper strip in a quick move away from the skin in the opposite direction of hair growth. It is much, much better to do one section at a time and for delicate areas do small patches at a time (that is why is good to have cut some of the paper strips to smaller sections before starting the job). Take your time and work your way one section at a time to ensure you remove all the hair correctly because, ideally, you shouldn't double treat the same surface of skin to avoid irritation and discomfort.Afterwards apply aloe vera gel to the treated area and do not use any creams, deodorants etc for a few hours to allow the skin to recover. The gel will soothe and hydrate the skin and calm away any redness. The wax has a pleasant sweet fragrance and it contains natural ingredients: Sucrose, Aqua, Citric Acid, Parfum, Solanum Tuberosum Starch, Myrocarpus Fastigiatus Oil, Cedrus Atlantica Bark Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Peel Oil. It is a sugar based product rather than wax. It is very flexible and spreads very easily once it is warm enough. It completely removes all hair from the root and it leaves skin much less irritated compared to other varieties of warm wax.An excellent product I have been relying on for a good number of years and would recommend it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Wish I had bought a long time ago! Beats cold strips a million times over.
I'm Caucasian and extra hairy but prefer epilating and waxing to shaving. Having used cold wax strips on my bikini line for years (which flipping wrecks and is very painful due to having to go over the same area again and again) I decided to give this a go and I was not disappointed.I heated the tub in the microwave for 40 seconds and left for up to a minute. I did have to take it out halfway through as I had unknowingly left a little strip of the foil lid behind and it burnt a bit of the plastic rim, but once that was removed it was fine. The tub retained its shape nicely and the wax was stirrable with the spatula. The is an inner lip where you can wipe excess wax from the spatula which saves the mess. The spatula also has a blue square that changes to 'HOT' if the wax is too hot to use but I would always test on my wrist before using anyway, just in case it stops working over time.I was pretty terrified about using it As I thought surely it hurts more than cold strips as more hair is covered, so I started on a small area and spread some wax on. The fabric strips provided can be torn, so I tore a few up ready to use. Immediately I pressed a strip on, pulled skin taut and quickly removed. No pain, no hairs. I did the whole area and it was really easy and so effective.I had amazingly managed to not get wax anywhere else so didn't have a huge clean up to do. I had previously believed the strips to be disposable but after reading the leaflet I chucked them in a sink of hot water, let the wax dissolve, rinsed fully and left them to dry. I always found cold strips really wasteful so I was impressed with this part.I'm not sure why some say they don't remove hairs as hair is quite coarse and it gets rid of mine! Maybe they are not using enough wax or not pressing the strip onto to area properly? The scent is nice and not too strong. The wax dissolves in water so any mess is easily cleaned up. Also, I have tonnes of wax left so it will last for ages!Overall, I would highly recommend these.

Today I removed hair from the armpit area. For soft hair it is acceptable. Pleasant smell, high-quality spatula.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very impressed and happy with the results
I've finally found what is by far the best hair removal method for my legsShaving is a big NO for me, believe me I've tried. Epilators are noisy and hurt like hell. Other electric shavers are fine but the hair grows back way too fast and I'm not doing that everyday. Was unsuccessful with ready to go wax stripsI settled on making my own sugar wax at home and doing it myself. Its been fine but making it can be annoying and using it is pretty painful and messy. If only I had bought this earlier. I'm not going to lie and say it was painless, but the most painful part of my normal sugar wax was that you needed to apply it against the direction of hair growth, and the application was painful. Then the pain of ripping it off. This is applied in the direction of hair growth which is entirely painless if the wax is runny enough, and then ripped in the opposite direction. It is 10x less painful. I could not believe it. Same results, a lot less pain. Smooth legs, no complaints. The ONLY downside is there are not enough strips! At least you can easily wash, dry and re-use, but they really should double the number given. If you're doing a large area like both legs, you absolutely need to buy extra if you expect to do this in one sitting.
3.0 out of 5 stars Damaged package
The wax itself is good ,smells lovely .And does what its supposed to the only issue that i faced was the packaging it came in broken and is now useless as the lid wouldn't close properly and have to keep it upright otherwise it will drip and cause disaster
