Clinitas Hydrate is a lubricating eye gel intended for use in the relief of discomfort that arises from dry eye sensations. Clinitas Hydrate provides cooling and soothing relief for sore eyes that are gritty, itchy or have other foreign body irritation. Dry eye sensation may also be produced by viewing TV and computer screens, infrequent blinking, certain medical treatments including refractive laser eye surgery, atmospheric pollution and drying atmospheres e.g. air conditioning, central heating, wind and sun.

Easy to use. Lovely and cool on the eyes. I prefer this gel formula as it's not so watery. I use throughout the day for my dry eyes.

I have had dry eyes for years. They feel gritty, tired and uncomfortable. I've tried many types of drops with varying success. Hypermellose(too short acting), Sodium hyaluronate(quick relief and refreshing but not lasting), Lacrilube i.e paraffin( blurs vision for too long), Witch Hazel( refreshing...that's it). Best relief I've found is with viscous carbomer (0.2%) which is what this gel contains. It is refreshing and long acting. A bit trickier to apply compared to drops and sometimes a bit too much can be applied which is more a waste of gel rather than a detriment. Immediately after application it affects vision for a very short time i.e about 30 seconds. Approved for prescription on the NHS for dry eyes and in the British National Formulary (BNF). Very highly recommended for fellow sufferers.

I've suffered for year's with watery eyes I've been to my gp several times even the eye hospital and information I got was useless nothing ever worked so a friend gave me a tube of clinitas dry eye ointment I tried them and what a difference my eyes have never been better in years . I've got a wedding in may so I'm now hoping that I might actually be able to put makeup on my eyes that I've never done in years. That's why I've purchased a couple of tubes from Bolo and will continue to buy this item as long as it works.

This gel certainly does help with dry eyes, but once you have applied it to one eye, and the fact that you cannot wear glasses whilst applying, you cannot see to apply it the other eye. I have found myself accidentally dragging the tip along my lower eye lid to put it in, only to find that nothing has come out of the tube. Perhaps gel is a little too thick. I only use this once in bed as vision is too blurred to walk from bathroom the bedroom once applied. Wont buy again.
