The MS.406 was the first modern French monoplane fighter. The MS.406 played an important role during the early part of WWII and had a cantilever low-set wing, enclosed cockpit and tail wheel landing gear that included inward-retracting main units. It resulted from a 1934 requirement issued by the French Air Ministry for a monoplane fighter. An initial 1,000 examples were ordered in March 1938.

Excellent starter kitThis little kit is nicely detailed with highly simplified assembly. Its suitable for beginners with easy to follow instructions and painting guide but the surface detail and general decent quality make it a good budget build for a more experienced modeller too. I didn't use the kit decals, instead using a 3rd party set but the kit decals are fine - I just wanted different markings.Note that most of the Hobbyboss kits on Bolo state they are diecast models. This is an error. They are actually like this kit - simplified plastic model kits.

nowadys there are many high end kits that require alot of time and effort to get the end results and some being of a high price to buy but i really enjoyed macking this kit especialy after making a more detailed and time consuming kit (which was a finnish blenheim) for this kitI made the finnish version it was such a quick laid back build needing very little filling in the joints and ive made hobby boss kits like these before and the cockpit detail is lacking (the detail wont blow you away but the basics were there) which is not aparent with this kit
