Benadryl Allergy Relief is the fastest-acting* allergy relief capsule as it is the only allergy medicine containing acrivastine*. Thisunique active ingredient starts to work in only 15 minutes and lasts up to 8 hours, effectively relieving itchy, watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, and other allergic conditions such as pet or dust allergic reactions. Benadryl can also be used to treat the symptoms of skin allergies and urticaria, also known as hives, where the skin looks blotchy with white raised wheals (bumps) surrounded by redness.
The hayfever medicine can be taken up to three times per day so that you can take it as and when you need it. The flexible dosing of the hayfever allergy capsules makes it suitable for dust and pet allergy sufferers who have short-lived allergy attacks, and for hay fever sufferers as it can be taken in the morning and evening when pollen is at its peak.

Works quickly to prevent or stop itching, and remove swelling from bites etc, easy to swallow and lasts longer than the suggested 4hrs, so is my summer saviour. I have had problems with the citirizine based antihistamines so this had been recommended for me and I am told is safe to use for long periods of time. Best price I can find most of the time is on here.

These work the fastest of any antihistamine I've used. Usually within a few minutes. They also seem to have the least side effects. No dry mouth or drowsiness. The active ingredient in these UK Benadryl is completely different than the American version, which is horribly sedating.

This is the old generation of antihistamines with possible serious side effects. I read from internet reviews: Because of its sedation, Benadryl should not be taken before people drive or use heavy machinery, which is not a concern with the newer antihistamines like cetirizine, fexofenadine, and loratadine.
