Overall, I've found this to be excellent.This is in essence a line of strong magnets within an aluminium box. There's a handle to raise and lower the magnets within the box, which provides a release mechanism for any metal stuck to the base of the box. I use a piece of cardboard slightly larger than the sweeper's base (in fact part of the box it came in) as a mat onto which I release the metal, which is then easy to pour into a bin.The magnets are surprisingly strong. This has absolutely no problem at all picking up anything from a staple to large screws etc. if it's resting on the surface of a gravel, grass, dirt, etc. surface. It's not going to pull buried metal out of the ground (that's not a realistic thing to expect) but it would likely be strong enough to lift e.g. a screw that had been trodden into it.Another thing to bear in mind is that not all metals are magnetic. There were plenty of screws and nails that I was initially disappointed weren't picket up by the sweeper, but on closer inspection I realised that they weren't magnetic so it didn't stand a chance.Ultimately I've been very impressed by its performance when I've swept my drive and garden after building work. Amongst other things, I picked up a rusty old Stanley knife blade that I absolutely hadn't seen and with young children playing outside that was worth buying this in itself. If you've had work done close to a gravel drive then ultimately you should buy one of these - it's less than the cost of the inevitable puncture.People have criticised the handle. It's not secured in the strongest of ways, but ultimately I don't see a problem. Trundling this about puts very little strain on it and I think you'd really have to abuse it a bit to damage it. I can't see any issue at all with the wheels - they're perfectly suitable.

This was a work-related purchase to try and cut down on a recent spate of car tyre punctures in the car park from debris. The actual mechanics of how it works are ingeniusly simple. There's a large hollow box section piece of aluminium, with a wheel at each end and a handle. Within the box section is a strong bar magnet which sits on the bottom within the hollow box section. As you wheel the contraption around the strong magnetics picks up ferrous gubbins from the floor, which for us includes odd bits of screws, rivets and washers etc. You then wheel the sweeper somwhere safe, like over a bin liner or scrap of cardboard on the floor, and then pull a lever which raises the internal magnetic bar away from the bottom of the sweeper. This reduces the magnetic force on the debris, which allows it to fall away from the bar, leaving it clean.Works absolutely brilliantly. Only possibly improvement would be an even stronger magnetic bar, but the one already in is no real slouch.

Would have been 5 stars if it weren't for the flimsy handle. Saying that, despite the initial grumbling from hubby about that, he was very impressed. I bought it purely on a review from someone who used it on a gravel driveway. We had just had builders in and there were nails flung all over our gravel. It picked them up easily. It also retrieved a large piece of rusty wire that we didn't know about right where I park my car. That REALLY impressed hubby and his friends that had come to see the new boy toy. So, yes initial impressions about the handle are overshadowed by the efficiency and ease of use. If the handle issue can get sorted it would easily get 5 stars.

WE work in a yard where screws and nails often come out and car get punctures. Been doing this for 5 years until stumbling across this product! Used it for the first time today and it picked up loads of screws I had not seen.The cost of the product is less than one tyre! Works well, quick delivery, a total no brainer.

Nearly sent it back for the indifferent quality - pretty poor wheels and a struggle on grass, but couldn't be bothered. Does the job just about and is fine in the barn.

Amazing tool. I thought I'd cleared the courtyard of roofing nails until I got this. Simple but very effective and lots cheaper than new tyres.

Bought this for my place of work as there is a daily need for use both inside the building and the surrounding outside property (car park and yard area). Unsure how it performs on soft surfaces, but hard surfaces are not a problem for it.Strong magnet, performs well and does the job, however, can feel a little flimsy.Ultimately a handy piece of kit to have for a quick clean up job of all things screws, nails, washers, nuts etc

Works as expected. Magnets are strong and there is a noticeable clonk when a screw or nail is picked up. Some people complain about the weak handle but I think it's just fine. I could easily break it if I tried to but you're not supposed to force it. It's not a shovel and on uneven ground you can always drag instead of push.

Semplice e comoda di usare. Fa egregiamente il suo dovere. Raccoglie bene la polvere del flessibile. Dalle dimensioni non raggiunge alcuni angoli, servirebbe una più piccola e sottile. Ma è fantastica per gli spazzi grandi.

Aimant efficace le reste fait un peu bricolage mais vu le prix...

Les roues bougent un peu, ça fait bricolage mais l'aimant marche bienAttention à l'herbe haute de plus 7 cm ça "balaye" le dessous de l'aimant du coup vous risquez de reperdre ce que vous avez amassé.
