Takes 30 seconds to give you the reassurance needed about what lowest temperature your engine is protected to. It's very easy to forget that temperatures near to -20 can sometimes occur in the UK. Knowing your coolant is fine down to -37 is a great comfort. Easy to use like a turkey baster, just draw up some coolant and wait a few seconds for the discs to float up and settle, note which one was last to rise, and squeeze the fluid back in....job done.

Very useful item. I bought this item to save money at a garage for a coolant change. I siphoned out the entire coolant reservoir into an empty plastic milk bottle, and poured in fresh coolant near to the maximum line. You have to wait a few days to get the best reading as the new coolant I just poured in will mix with the old coolant still in the engine you cant siphon out. The readings are now at a mid-range level and my car passed a full service with flying colors. You can't mix orange coolant with green coolant. You have to stick to the same color for those people who don't know.

Great bit of kit, simple to use, gives you peace of mind or alerts you to take action if needed. And saves you being ripped off by money grabbing dealers at service time.

Our's had taken a hammering and needed one quickly. This arrived the next day and it gets some serious use (used in a motorbike garage). It is holding up well, easy to use and accurate.

The cardboard box this arrived in was fine however when opened the original manufacturers packet that the tester was in had been ripped open at the top, the tester had obviously been taken out then not inserted back into the plastic properly. Very poor way to send to a customer!

A rugged and efficient tool. Said, but not tested, to be valid over a reasonable temperature range. The" too high concentration"indicator a valid measure.
