The base of the bath can be detached easily from the top half, making cleaning the bath very simple. The covered bath will help to prevent splashes from making a mess.

It just about fits between the bars but you have to be very careful not to break the plastic hooks while fitting it. Once on the cage it fits very tight and there is no way your bird will be able to escape (if outside like we take our bird in warmer weather). This is the best bird bath I've ever ordered, it is made well, fits together well with no water leakage. In fact, once put together it is very difficult to take apart, I'm scared to take it apart in case I break the plastic clips underneath. As yet, my little bud hasn't used it, hope she will get used to it soon. Suspicious little creatures aren't they :) Just like to mention that it would be very helpful if people leaving reviews, good or bad, what cage they are actually trying to fit it to. It's no help when people just say yes it fits or doesn't fit if they're not actually telling you WHAT it does or doesn't fit!

This is an excellent, secure and robust bath. It's a lucky dip what colour you get - mine was yellow. I particularly like the depth of the actual bath. Whistling Dixie loves it! As another reviewer has mentioned, although the hooks seem quite strong, and it depends on how wide your cage opening is, it takes a bit of concentration to make sure it's fitting securely. This is why we bought a back up, in case the hooks on the original broke. Having said that, he's been using it for over a year and nothing has happened to it yet! I would have measured the distance between the hooks for this review, but I'm writing it after he's been covered up for the night and grumpy canaries are to be avoided at all costs ;-). If you want to know the precise distance, then just ask and I'll be happy to measure it up.

Whilst the quality of the item is good, sadly it didn't fit our budgie cage (a Hagen Vision II). The plastic lugs in the roof of the bird bath aren't far enough apart to go either side of the budgie cage door latch!

I was so looking forward to this, but soon as it arrived I had to send it straight back. The lid had hairline crack and had a lot of scuff marks. Wouldn't buy again, especially for the price tag.
